Fake - you rarely fall from a such a horizontal and prepared position. Usually you are reaching for a foot, hand or axe hold and you fall when applying leverage which may push you away from the surface. And when you make contact it's not soft & smooth either but bumpy and steep. They will find you in a crevice in the late spring.
