  • hey ! not fair ! I had no idea they revived the show, i would have totally supported am a big fan of hunter ! DAm that's wrong NBC !!!

  • Yeah, I liked hunter but this GAR bage deserved to be canceled.

  • I know that stefanie is still hot til this day, WOW LOL AS FOR FRED, HE SHOWS HIS AGE. THIS NEW REVIVAL SHOW DIDN'T WORK OUT BECAUSE OF MONEY.

  • They should have fred dryer/rick hunter's famous catch phrase at the end of the opening credits

    Works for me.

  • Dang, Stepfanie Kramer got hotter over the years.

  • SOME PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me where i can watch this show or at least the TV reunion movies

  • hey what happened to this why was it cancelled looks decent

  • This was like reuniting with an old friend you hadn't seen in years, but felt like it was just yesterday you'd seen. Too bad it didn't last longer. A better timeslot would have helped.

  • Wow, I didn't know they revived this show in '03. This was my favorite back in the 80s.

  • put this out on dvd now!

  • Loved the Original Hunter, but I do wonder why so many of the Hollywood

    "Re-Makes" (Incl Hunter), of Successful 60's / 70's & 80's, Drama's/Programme's FAIL, and are not successful when they are Re-Made / Re-Imaged??

I think part of the problem is they try changing the essence of the orignal show too much, thus essentially screwing it up!

  • @imnaz83 First time it's a novelty, second time it's a bore.

  • god damn, stephanie kramer was still hot 20 years later

I had no idea they revived this show... maybe thats why it didnt last

  • @jgrewal66 Same here,

  • Fred Dryer looks like an emaciated Rush Limbaugh.

  • I had such high hopes for this show. I was thrilled to death to hear it was coming back..... then I watched it. It was very dissapointing. Boring, to be honest. Fredy Dryer pretty much dissappeared from acting after this bomb.

  • @Nickthestorekeeper Fred is still doing acting and he's also producing, but he's goin' around the world to do that, but he has recently showed up on commercials which includes Identity Theft and so, he's still goin' strong and so is Stepfanie Kramer and the 2 of them are still close friends, but as Fred would say about this revival, you can't win 'em all.

  • a revival is sure to fail if you put a latino in charge of two caucasians.white people dont like to see mexicans giving other whites orders

  • The video did not represent the show well

  • i didn't know they re-did the show. I thought it was a SNL skettch. I could kick fred's ass

  • They added too many additional characters. And the theme sounds too synthesized.

  • AWFUL!! It sounds like they got the Hunter theme and played it on an old Nintendo Entertainment System from the 80s

  • i remember this. it was ok, but not as gritty or well writen as the shows first run.

thay should have just kept making t.v. movies every year or so.

  • When did they ever show this, I think it is a fuckin embarressment !

  • It actually had strong ratings (I believe it was stuck on Friday or Saturday nights) but the problem was the demographic was all wrong for NBC (mostly the same demo as shows like NCIS) and so they aborted it after about 5 episodes.

  • @SPTO for the leave of Stephanie Kramer after Season 6, that's when everything went downhill and by the time Season 7 came around absolutely no1 were watching it and it didn't make much ratings at all, at least I liked it: the new partner to Fred and his Hunter flame character came in and that's when we get to learn and listen and see the 2 couple: Hunter and Chris meeting each other again which was a great story, i was looking 4ward 2 that.

  • @polesee777 It was burned off in summer of 2003 after horse racing events and the like. No publicity. A shame. Who knows, it could have succeeded.

  • It was on NBC Saturday nights back in 2003 for 3 weeks I believe. NBC decided to give it a run after a couple of highly-rated tv movies. Unfortunately, due to the low ratings, it was soon canceled.

  • @buckeyehunter18627 wow, i had no idea they even revived this show! Where was I in 2003! lol I guess because it didn't last long, i missed it. What a shame it got cancelled.

  • @polesee777 Whats an embarrasment? Did you even see them? I guess not, and yet you are judging wothout watching, space cadet..........

  • damn i had no idea the had a reunion show, now i feel bad knowing especially since this was one of my favorite shows to watch. but seeing it was short lived also, it must didn't have a full season. oh well. hunter will always be a fave

  • Too bad this didn't make it. I love Hunter Ms. Kramer is still a fox too..

  • The reason they only had Dryer and Kramer from the old series was that Hallahan died in '97, when he could have easily lived longer. It's a shame, but at least Kramer came back.

  • They should have kept the gun at the beginning of the intro. Oh well. This probably could have gone on for two or three seasons, too bad it was cancelled.

  • No. Fucking. WAY! Where the hell was I?

I didn't know this existed! Too bad I hear it sucked ass. I used to LOVE the original. Stef Kramer still looked good, though, my hats off to her. Fred stayed in shape pretty much, too.

  • @biigzen The revival were decent shows, I think its kinda hard , perhaps unfair to compare them to the originals, they were not bad, Fred And Stefanie still had the chemistry................

  • my favorite telefilm

  • geeze fred dryer isn't in the hall of fame? the guy had freakin 104 sacks and was a beast on the field in his prime

  • And he played alongside Hall of Famer Jack Youngblood during his years with the L.A. Rams.

  • At least w/ this revival, they kept two of the original version's stars (Dryer) and (Kramer).

This revival isn't half bad compared to what NBC is doing w/ their revival of Knight Rider.

  • PLEASE don't mention the new Knight Rider, I'm trying t forget that it even exists!

  • @megamanj2004X oh god that new knight rider wasv pure garbage awful show nothing beats the hoff

  • @retroguy1976 - exactly! When is Hollywood and these networks gonna realize that reviving classic shows is bound to fail? Let's see NBC revived Bionic Woman and Knight Rider = FAILED! ABC revived Dragnet and Nightstalker = FAILED! (though in Dragnet's case it somehow lasted 2 seasons and in S2, they totally ruined it by making that a West Coast version of Law and Order) and now CBS is reviving Hawaii Five-O this fall.

  • @megamanj2004X Thebottom line that although Hawaii Five-O has been a surprise hit for CBS, they are the exception and not the rule. CBS got lucky on that one. That being said, the fault lies with the non-talented, uncreative moron producers & honchos running the networks. They don't have the brilliant mind of say an Aaron Spelling to creative NEW hit shows or create a new fresh formula. They resort to remakes or the ever cheaply made, no talent, garbage reality shows. As a result, TV is doomed.

  • @OreckBoy1 you bet. these guys are finished

  • @OreckBoy1 This comment should get 10,000 thumbs up.

TV now days is so HORRIBLE, i'd bet six ways to sunday if you put the ORIGINAL 5-0 back on in prime time right now, it would beat out other top shows in the same time slot. Perhaps even ALL top shows!!!

The original 5-0 debuted in 1968!!!! That's saying something if one thinks a 40 something year old show could CLOBBER the TALENTLESS shows that are on today

  • @OreckBoy1 Sir,it's a shame I can only give you one thumbs up...What you said is so dead on.It sickens me how bad TV is nowadays.

  • @megamanj2004X yeah, night rider became an excuse to use the cheapest CGI, a very confusing romance between the leads and more confusing plots like killing Mike only to have him become Michael Knight or have the "Foundation" do raids and shit in "FBI" windbreakers and not have Knight carry a gun. They couldn't have gotten someone as cool as Hasslehoff? I just hope that NBC does not redo Miami Vice.

  • Frickin' NBC! Adding too many characters like if Hunter was a soap opera! NBC totally screwed this up. And the 8 o'clock timeslot on Saturdays, no wonder it was over in a heartbeat!

  • Man this sucked ass. The commercials for it got me excited to watch, but then it was a total snooze fest.

  • the extra's should've been guest stars. everyone knows hunter is about fred & stephanie....period.

  • In my humble opinion, this does not hold a candle to the original series.

  • The co-stars were all flakey. Terrible actors, all.

  • San Diego? Hunter has to be LAPD, man! L.A. is his town! This show wasn't bad, but couldn't compare to the original series.

  • I'm disappointed NBC didn't give the revival show a chance....I believe there were 2 movies and 6 TV episodes or so that did not air weekly but here and there.

    LAPD........to San Diego PD?

  • when in the hell did they make a new hunter show I must have been really sleeping under a rock never seen it advertised or anything

  • I must have been in a coma too, because I don't remember this at all!

  • After two highly-rated TV movies in Fall 2002 of Hunter, they decided to bring the show as a mid-season replacement in Spring 2003. NBC didn't give the show a chance of surviving with a 8pm Saturday night time slot and the show was cancelled after only 5 episodes of which I believe one or two didn't even air!

  • after all these years she still looks fine and he still kicks ass!

  • Mike Gomez is the man to watch!

  • I think that Fred and Stephanie must finish the series, they are good roleplayers and let the opportunity to other people

  • Michelle Gold = producer's daughter? No other explanation as to why she got a role doing anything.

  • **** me! Why did Fred Dryer turn into a Depends-wearing geriatric whilst STEPfanie Kramer stayed youthful and vibrant?

  • You can tell just by the intro that this was a lame ass attempt to revive the kick ass Hunter series. Fuckin networks always screw shit up when the try and revive it.

  • If Hunter and Mcall would die their hair it would be just like the 1980's one because the 2 have actually not changed much in looks..Anyone know if they have the 5 episodes for download anywhere?

  • Did kramers music career flop and she was back to hunter desperate for money?

  • why this season it's steph but not laura lane? didn't she quit the force and go out to sing?

anyway, this season is dedicated to my uncle that passed away...even though fred wanted her back one more time. what's up with that? But it's very cool and saying "hi" again to Stephanie Kramer. Sucks that it got cancelled and there was only 5 episodes but no one was watching.

  • The first Hunter return movie got huge ratings. It's too bad they didn't give the series more of a chance. Fred and Stepfanie looked better than ever. I wish NBC would share the unreleased eps with us.

  • I love Hunter, but wow, this was a really lame intro when compared to any of the intros from the original series.

  • I was thinking the same exact thing. This theme song had absolutely no feeling to it, compared to the themes of the original version. It might've worked on its own had there not been a parent series, but here, it falls flat when you look at any of the other "Hunter" intros...

  • Oh, this must have been the boring "Law & Order" style opening. Everything about the original show was awesome.

  • i didnt even know they tried to revive the show. good promotion NBC!!! Its was best that they left classic shows like that alone anyway...at least until they run out of old TV show to movie ideas.

  • I never knew either and I was a big fan. I suspect/conclude a serious lack of promotion.

  • The did. You can buy all 7 complete seasons at tvdvdworld on the Internet. The price looks good to me as well. They're only $150.00dollars for the complete series. I don't think it gets much better than that.

  • Like I said in another post, nothing past season three has been officially released, so it's impossible for them to have them legally, and that site has received multiple customer complaints, most of them along the lines of long backorders and dodging giving refunds.

  • I looked up what you said about complaints and WOW!!!. I defiantely won't be buying Hunter from that website. I'll just write to the company that released the first three seasons and ask thee to bring out the rest of the series.

  • Does anyone know where I can find a copy of this theme and download it. The music is great and I would love to get it into the media library on my computer.

  • Was this the last season of Hunter?

  • if you want to call it a season. i believe they filmed 5 episodes but only three actually aired. nbc had it in a saturday night 8 pm timeslot. that doomed the revival of hunter right off the bat. only the first 3 seasons have been released on dvd

  • i remember...it was disappointing

  • yeah, i remember when they brought back the two tv movies before they launched the revival of the show. no one is home on saturday nights watching tv. perhaps if it were in a better time slot, it would have lasted.

  • When did this come out!!!!!!!! I do not remember it, and this was my favorite show. I remember the movies but didnt know about this :( anybody know if its out on dvd like seasons 1,2,3

  • i really find out that Stephanie went back to Hunter. For what? She quit and left the force to be with her old flame, and make music (which she did only once). what's up w/ her?

    ra

    hunter fan!Not this one.

  • Like ROCKFORD the actor playing HUNTER was older than the character he played.

  • should of coloured his hair to make it look younger..lol

  • @JackWalsh44 I agree!

  • And Fred Dryer was still meaner than hell to the perps too !

  • NBC did a reunion movies that did so well that they commissioned a second movie/pilot, plus five hourlong episodes. Then, they buried the revival on Saturday nights at 8:00, with no promotion. Might have made it in its old 10:00 timeslot. Not as entertaining as the original, but still pretty good. Stepfanie Kramer was still sexy as hell, too.

  • did this even air?? i don't recall any of this.

  • For maybe a month at the most. Saturday nights, when nobody's really home to watch TV.

  • 5 episodes were made, only 3 aired. To put into perspective how bad the ratings were for this revival, it got beat in its 8:00 time slot by a prime-time edition of The Price is Right.

  • Blink and you missed it. I'm actually suprised NBC greenlit this revival.

  • the biggest mistake they made with this show was not having Hunter & McCall finally hook up

  • That's because Stephen J. Cannell is a FUCKTARD!!!

  • Cannell wasn't even involved in this revival.

  • I agree, as a loyal fan of this show that still burns my grits that Hunter and McCall never got together arghhhhhh.
