a little while ago i looked into building a "Floating POV" display using a PIC 10F206 running off a single 3V coin cell which stored the data for each line internally.
Ran into a synchronisation problem but no doubt its fixable with some work.
Perhaps someone should try building a laser and galvo into a larger version of this and project video onto the envelope...
yeah, i used 3mm LEDs and CR2016 battery.
