Ive had that happen, and it sucks, Try this, take your frog and spread the hooks out to the side more, increasing the chance that they will get caught in the fatty part of the fish's mouth rather than the tougher Upper lip of the bass which is harder to stick into with those type of hooks, that or, apply a small wacky rig hook to the back trebles with a 3 way swivel, that can also help land them

i hate when that happens, i was fishing with a buddy one day when some water was running out a pipe and i had a huge bass hit, easily 11 lbs, then she snapped the line, so i threw out another white zoom trick worm and another one even bigger snaps my line. Thats ok though, now i proudly hang a 16 lb bass on my wall, not bad for being in mississippi although im sick of my buddy constantly making the sound of a snapping line when we go out to snake creek, the video is on my page

never fails! this is the story of my life right here! example. me and my buddy were wadding he got out i was pitchin a spro frog in a back pocket on pop WHAM. big bass on reeled him in less than 2 feet came to the surface....no deal spit it right back out. wouldnt hit the frog again. my buddy gets in throws a spinnerbait....fish on turns out to be an 11.4 pound largemouth!!!!! that was my fish he knew it was too but oh well.

That was def a hog bass probably 4-5 pounds....its always fun on top water...I like to use braided line on top as you get a good quick hook set...

a big 6LB Largemouth spit out my hook...after a few thousand F*@#$ words...and 15 minutes later..i hooked him...snapped a pic and released him.....best thing to do is re-cast and go get him...

Fish is going to jump....jam the rod tip in the water to stop the jump. Once the fish is in the air and shaking the head, the rod tip usually will not move fast enough to follow the head shake of the fish. That is when your lure gets tossed.
