she doesnt..well she speaks a little im sure now. but for the most part all of interviews in japan are in english. she was coached to sing japanese songs. becuase she lives in tokyo now after moving there in 06 when she was hired at a modeling agency. now she is a pop icon there. go where the money is.

Yes she does. You know nothing about her. She studied Japanese during highschool and she even has a cousin who is half Japanese. Her aunt is married to a Japanese man. She traveled to Japan once when she was 13 or 14 yr old. She's mentioned this numerous times in interviews.
