Em is at the top of the Pyramid. Everyone says Jay, Nas and Em are on the same level, even Em thinks this, but from were im sittin Em is twice as lyrical. You cant compare their styles because their so different, their the best rappers in the game without doubt. 2pac and B.I.G were major players in the rap game in their time, but lyrically werent even on Jay and Nas' level.

If you lisin to pac lyrics you see that him and Em are very similar, because they both have very complex rhymes. but Em is complex because of Big L's rhyme scheme. with multipul rhymes. Pac did the same and BIG did a little. but Em is @ the top of the pyramid. EZ. Jay-z is an amazing performer. but not the artist that Em is. and nas is dope as well just not as complex as em. no contest! ezz

What makes Em so brilliant is the combination of complex full rhymes that are full of "epiphanies" & "real life down dark lived experiences".... he answers questions by ASKING THEM (the right ones) instead of just blind venting/dictating which is the psychological angel most rappers write from
he ALSO uses profanity brilliantly (poignant & well placed & full of raw grace) ...he garnishes his true to life intelligence with the lingo shedding light

2Pac did not use complex rhymes much. Eminem is much more of a lyricist than Pac. Big L was also a better lyricist than 2Pac. Pac just knew how to tell stories and address issues...he wasn't a complex lyricist.
