It's a good video. I think the point about spirituality and religion being on opposite ends is true. Spirituality tends to be about growth and evolvement while religion is rigid and structured and demands strict obedience. Spirituality is about being yourself while religion is about you being part of the 'flock'. (I'm sure any ex Christians will know what I meant by that)
Christianity(religion) and believing in Jesus is totally different thing. Many people are very confused about this. Religion can't save anyone. Spirituality end up no where just like religion.
i appreciate your sincere comments and agree. i'll briefly point out a couple things:
1. as an agnostic/former catholic and the first person to point out hypocrisy with church(es)and secular people; you paint religious folk as automatons who don't reflect, 'sin', make errors, 'break rules', or grow experientially/spiritually... perhaps fundamentalists are more the way you are characterizing people...not sure who you are thinking of specifically...
2. a point of religion is to create community and community creates change. whether or not you like what a church is 'changing'; it is community action of a church whether they-as a whole- make errors or do injustice historically or presently. The 'church' is changing and growing -like a human-; and a human makes errors and changes (on a small and large scale-at times)...
Good video, great points!
