I need to find my roots, i'm from Mississippi, so I could possibly have some Haitian blood. I pray that I have Haitian roots, so I can REPRESENT!!!!!!!!!!!
Youtube have some of the craziest people who will pull anything out their butt to say. I am referring to a comment I saw as I was getting ready to write you.
Any who brother fellow Haitian here heard your call in BK what we doing? Get at me wanna pow wow with you
Blacks and Latinos are 2 of the REAL JEWS (descendants of the 12 Tribes of Israel – Blacks/Judah, Mexicans/ Issachar, Columbians/Asher, Dominicans/Simeon, Puerto Rican/Ephraim, Haitians/Levi): read curses in Amos 3:1-2, Deuteronomy 28:68, 1, 15-68 & Acts 7:6. The so called JeWISH people are IMPOSTORS. Read Revelation 2:9, 3:9. Our purpose: Deuteronomy 10:12-13, Ecclesiastes 12:13, John 7:49. Christ will redeem US: Psalm 130:7-8, Isaiah 14:3. SEE YouTube –BIBLE HISTORY OF BLACKS AND LATINOES.
Being Haitian is beautiful, take advantage of your heritage because they're many opportunities out there for speaking more then one language. s.n the same one who picked on zoes are the same one who trying to be a Zoe, have kids by a Zoe just to be apart of the culture.
I've always rep Haiti. So when I first found out there are some ppl who wish to have never been born as a haitian or born by haitians parents, I was shocked. I never understood why a person would not want to be apart to such an amazing culture.
@terrie33355 I hear you. The enviroment you where you are raised can have that effect on you. I'm just glad I got a wake up call and pray my message can do the same for others.
@AmbassadorBruny Hello:) Definitly i mean The are quite differnt cultures, and the have different ways the do things and all that! and my dad isnt in my life and he is hatian so i just use the internet to``learn about the culture, music and everything i can possibly:)!!
Keep it real bro, I am a haitian born in the U.S as well... I always say im haitian first. I'm haitian by anscestry not by nationality! That's my roots... Which come first! I'm Haitian!
Wyclef did something so incredible with the Fugees, he rose the haitian flag so high in all his performances; since then, every1 wants to embrace their heritage.
I remember back in those days1995. We used to get teased a lot; even worse, I was new to the states. In high school I got called JC(just come) or HBO(haitian with a bad odor). I was always neat and smelled much better than all of them, but that was the stigma for haitians. I truly understand your frustrations my dear and I totally support you in ths fight
My friend if you knew the story of Haiti, you would be more than proud of ur originallity. im not here to tell you haiti is the first black nation. Less than a decade later after its independence,Haiti, began to help its neighbors in South America to gain liberty as well. Simon Bolivar, the Liberator, came to Haiti to seek help for his struggle to liberate his country Venezuela from Spain.
Petion, the haitian president at the time, gave Bolivar: money, weapons, ammunitions and even Haitian volunteer soldiers to help him fight for freedom. The only thing Petion asked in return was abolition of slavery in all the territories that he may later help liberate. Simon Bolivar with the help of Haiti proclaimed Venezuela's independence in 1812 and truly liberated: Colombia in 1819, Venezuela in 1821, Ecuador and Peru in 1822.
Haiti helps most of the countries in the Americas took their independance, including the United States. 500 Haitian soldier came to Savanna to help this country fought for it independance
well im haitian and im proud of it,yes i am american by nationality ,but haitian by blood,i will never say im black american,im haitian american,im so sick of some of these black poeple from other countries not embracing who they are, saying they black american when they not.love yourselves poeple, those poeple you say was hating on haiti, they probly dont even know their own history, they can kiss my haitian ass
I also lived in little haiti I went to haiti high better know as miami edison senior high
during that time haitian would get beat up every friday, LOVE BEEN HAITIAN THAN AND EVEN MORE NOW.If you notice haitian young men in NFL are very happy to say that they r haitian than no so call one in hip hop world. These haitian kids now you be "kou" to say something bad about haitian.check out this song call "pou ayiti" by two brothers you will love being haitian even more !!!!!!!
We as Africans are all warriors. And I imagine, its a very powerful thing to know your roots, Good for you Mike! Haitians are such a spirited people. There is not doubt that she will one day be free!
man i used to be the same way but i saw that my roots is so important to me so i rep haiti everyday and every year man i love my roots Haitians 4 life i'm from Miami in in the lil haiti section
@claudethechamp I'm glad to hear things have changed for you. Anytime I give a talk I open with that story and more people can relate than I thought would.
