  • Id like to drop a v8 in one of these bastards.

  • @Cook2430 look up 9 sec metro

  • did you buy this car new in 1997? Also, I like that radio but i would take an original Geo stereo any day :)

  • I'm glad to find this. I'm going to look at a 96' soon and now i know what to look for and what may not belong

  • Nice vid! Helped me out, I'm in the market for a little car, thanks! terry

  • Awesome little video, thanks, I'm looking to buy one and this tour was helpful, thank you! terry

  • this isnt a review, it's a VERY bad sales pitch...

  • that thign behind hte wiper control ws aftermarket cruise control from what i understand

  • Hey I mite be buying one of these today do you think its worth it???? is it hard to find parts for this car? thanks

  • @JusticeFlash not really hard. and easy to work on. you can remove the engine wiht your hands if youve got a half way decent set of muscles lol

  • people these days dont take care of their cars or maintain them,, you dont see alot of those cars around anymore! keep taking care of that geo man

  • that's lb/ft of torque , not ft/lbs

  • Good for you, I'm glad you don't smoke. why pay to die faster???

  • did you know that you have two cup holders under the ash tray? I pulls out. Just found that out today in my Metro... lol

  • @95ChevyTeeruk yes i did

  • A small engine is not that good for MPG as you have to rev it harder to get it moving. So you use more petrol! You would be better with a turbo diesel. A 1600cc will give you 50+MPG in the town and 70+MPG on a motorway at considerably higher speeds.

Small petrol engined cars are not that good. A 1.2litre 4 cylinder gives better MPG than a 3 cylinder...

  • Your car is a POS

  • 1997metroGT?!?!??!!??!?!

is that rare or what, wholey fuck-my-asshole-hard!

  • @BackYardBrian what are you talking about? there is no such thing as a metro gt. just metro lsi

  • @jmoyet suzuki made a gt version

  • could u get a remote started i just bought one this week but not geting the car tell monday and i was wondering becouse u had to push the clutch in to start it?

  • @darklighter456 yeah its part of the cars safety thing in case the car is in gear.

But if your car is a manual make sure its in neutral before pressing the remote start.

  • @jmoyet oh thanks

  • you must get so much pussy driving thaaaaat

  • what a cute little car. id like to get one eventually and turn it into a drag car >:)

  • Pretty clean !

  • Sharpie FTW!!

  • that weird thing above the wiper delay looks to be the cruise control

  • really? the last owner installed that... not sure when it went bad because it never worked for me.

  • weird.

  • i wanna put a b18c in that thing .

  • hehe good luck with the engine mounts and rewiring.

  • HAHA THAT would be a rocket

  • hehe yeah.. but i dont think I'll modify my Geo Metro that far. Maybe if i get a second Metro as a project car.

  • yupps.

  • i love mine, it had 30,000 miles when i got it, ive done nothing but preventive maintenance, i work 2 miles from the house, i dont stop at the gas station to often, i never liked cars with small engines, but this car aint going anywhere, if anyone reads this comment if you find one in excellent condition, you might want to get it:)

  • lmao 55 horse? shit dude. But hey it aint my car you can drive whatever you want i sapose

  • 55HP with 40MPG+ on a light foot.

what does your car get.. 10MPG? 20MPG?

  • lol 20 on a good day with the cruise set on the highway about 15 city. but i dont mind because i live in minnesota so its good for snow. Plus i enjoy off-roading and tow a boat with it. But like i said i dont care what kind of car you drive its your choice man the car doesnt make the man lol.

  • A suzuki swift 16 valve 4cyl engine pops right in that engine bay believe it or not.. just dont feel like ruining this car and dealing with a ton of wiring.

Geo Metro's are really for the person who just wants to get from point A to point B and save some money on gas. Some just like to be different, like me.

As funny as it sounds I once had halo headlights on the Metro. the video is somewhere buried in the last few pages of my videos.

  • The Metro is a great point A to point B car but Its also a great car for flat out enthusiasts.

I might of commented on this video I dont remember but the enthusiast in me appreciates how simple this car is and you have to appreciate that all thats moving the car along is 55 horsepower.

Cars considered wimpy have twice the horsepower the Geo has. If you think about it that way then you realise how little your working with and you appreciate the Gee more =)

  • I once seen a video of a modded 3cyl Geo Metro with performance parts thing was fast. Now I cant find it.

  • The Swift is being becoming somewhat popular in the tuner communuty.

Its the 4 Banger version though. I think the best someones doing all motor is 14 seconds.

I think its cool when people choose different platforms to tinker with thats why I love my Regal. Nothing wrong with fixing up Civics and Mustangs but there are way to many of them so its nice to see people tinker with other rides even though it isnt for speed and just looks.

  • @jmoyet search for "thechamp673" and find his video of the metro. :)

  • got some baggies and some scisors so we can smoke some weed

  • hehe

Sorry but like I said in the video, I don't smoke.

  • turbo that thing or supercharge it and run M3's lol or keep it neat, and stock, and pass it on to your kids....id keep it stock... buy another and vroom!

  • i saw a video of a hooked up 3cyl metro.. i might get a second metro as a project car and keep my white metro stock.

  • Well, my bike has 85 more horsepower. But you *might* win in a crash. lol

  • lol

  • Thanks! Any car can last a long time, just have to fix any faults that car may have as they show up. Thats the way i look at it.

Don't have anything in mind at the moment for a video request, but I'll let you know when I do.

  • oh yeah i forgot about those.

  • time for a twin turbo?

  • one last thing was it easy to install the radio???

  • yeah once you figure out which power wire is which its easy.. just connect the speakers and antenna and you done. just make sure the radio is secure and not moving around.

  • i know they are made by the same company

  • thats a chevy badge on a geo WTF

  • they were sold in Chevy dealers.

Geo was a deal between Suzuki (Metro), Toyota (Prizm), Isuzu (Storm) and GM. GM sold it in Chevy dealers.
