  • The Lav uses a 3.5mm plug, right? Is there a way to plug it into a smartphone and use a recording app to capture the audio for post sync?

  • @supercooled Yes it is a 3.5mm plug. There is a way to use a 3.5mm microphone on your iPhone by buying a cable from KV Connections that allows you to use your external microphone on your iPhone, I believe that it works with Android as well (must be capable of shooting HD video).

  • Very nice quality! I like the internal mic better though it sounds more crisp than the first.

  • @Crashbndcoot121 Thank you. As for the microphone I think there were many variables for error here, for example the microphone may not have been close enough to me to pick up my voice well. The whole idea for a lav. microphone is to eliminate background noise, that is why I chose the falls because of the sound the falling water has.
