SPOILER FOR THE COMICS: although it's not never really stated, the guy after whom Wolverine named himself - Logan Thomas - was if going by "The Origin" and my opinion his biological father, the groundskeeper, not his best friend, whom he killed in a fight after he shot his father (well, the guy married to Wolverine's mother) IIRC
Logan was firstly born with the name james Howlett due to the murder of his father and him taking revenge, he and his lover left to British Columbia where James changed his name to Logan, the name of his ex best friend you he killed
yep, if you're implying that I should have used Logan instead of James, just let me explain, that I was trying to use their real names, which would after all still be James, if not, never mind me clarifying that
