everything was right on. Very very tight. The symbols seemed to dominate the intro. I'm not critiqing a negative. Just that I've heard this song a million times. though it sounds a bit low to be a snare Im guessing that is the drum in the center next to the highat and below the roto-toms? it was a bit louder then in the song. but the timing was right on. great video quality. it looks 60fps.
great job ray! i've been watching your videos for a while, i've noticed you've gotten yourself a new drum set. expensive aren't they? i've got 5k in mine. your playing much better now, not that you were bad before, but having ALL the drums make playing certain songs much easier.
Muito irmão, só um breve, entre o 2:59 e 3:00 a passada não é do Tom para a caixa? vc fez a virada toda no tom. Mas no geral está bem legal, parabéns.
dude!! great work man!! really fun watching you beat on those things...to my [possibly] favorite RUSH songs, of all time....so far....hahaha thanks for posting, mate, cheers!!!
Awesome. I love it. such a fun song on drums and axe. Personally, Im a bigger fan of the RTB/Counterparts drum set kit set up than T4E-present, but I can appreciate the "ergonomics" of the later. Good stuff man. How can I get that sh!t down?? its gotta be more than just studying tablature or sheet music, no?
@yoshi1995 The main thing I like about the "TFE-present" set-up is the ride cymbal placement...as far as the toms, it takes some getting used to, but now for me it feels natural
kill the rap movement we can do it guys spread this message.you guys im serious copy and post this message. "will some one stage a kill the rap in the cubs baseball stadium". like they did for disco you guys we need it rap and all modern music (RS) suck guys if we get the sperad hopfully someone will do it...long live rock n roll. copy and paste plz........
a science magazine i read says that drummers are naturally smarter and more coordinated than average people, because we have more fatty tissue in our brain so we can hold constant motions and whatnot.
Its the same as using a computer keyboard or a game controller. Once you know where everything is and are use to it, you are bound to work fast with it and even develop your own methods.
What kind of camera are you using? cause i'd like to use that for mine. cause i really need that. cause my camera really messes up my drum sound. and also, Would you considerate redoing "Natural Science"?
Thanks a lot Man, but don't ever quit! I feel the same way whenever I hear Vinnie Colaiuta, Steve Smith, Simon Phillips, Dennis Chambers, Steve Gadd, Dave Weckl, Terry Bozzio, Billy Cobham...Um, BUDDY RICH! Anyway, the list goes on. But, even after all these years of playing, These Greats still motivate me to PICK UP my sticks and get better.
Hey nice video ray. Just wondering, as a drummer my self, how did you get the music to come out through your head phones and at the same time we can here it through the video here?
Basically using Movie Maker, or other software, you can overlay the song over the video. It takes some time to line the video and song up, but after a few times, you will get better at it.

Yes thats what I do, except with Sony Vegas Pro. Experiment with a good mix between your drumming and the original song. Also, make sure you put the same version of the song that your lisening to on your iPod in the editing software.

I'm always amazed at how a drummer can be so technical with their eyes, arms, and feet doing different things at the same time in perfect rhythm.
It just seems so unnatural, but then again, we're talking about Mr. Neil Peart.
