@gabriel527able If youb Want i can make it into an MP3 file And send it to you, along with an evenly more beautiful composition called ''vide cor meum''.
Dies Irae (Day of Wrath) is a 13th century Latin hymn wich is best known from its use in the Roman Catholic Requiem Mass. Lacrimosa is a part of the Dies Irae sequence in the Requiem mass. Text: Lacrimosa dies illa Qua resurget ex favilla Judicandus homo reus. Huic ergo parce, Deus: Pie Jesu Domine, Dona eis requiem. Amen. Translation: Mournful that day. When from the ashes shall rise a guilty man to be judged. Lord, have mercy on him. Gentle Lord Jesus, grant them eternal rest. Amen. Wikipedia
Very moving, even though I do not know the language it was sung in, the intensity in it demands further investigation into the beautiful picture displayed... we have no idea how good God really is...
Lacrimosa dies illa, Qua resurget ex favilla Judicandus homo reus. Huic ergo parce, Deus : Pie Jesu Domine, Dona eis requiem. Ah! that day of tears and mourning! From the dust of earth returning, Man for judgement must prepare him: Spare, O God, in mercy spare him! Lord, all pitying, Jesu blest, Grant them Thine eternal rest.
@fvn3489 Dude, seriously, why would you say ignorant shit like that? Music is the most subjective thing ever. And saying that you like rap and there fore wouldn't like this, is just retarded.
@Muggizz No You got me misunderstood yo. I'm saying I LOVE THIS TUNE and other classical hits, I brought in the rap topic because many people that listen to rap are die hard on rap and don't listen to soul moving music such as Lacrimosa. But im saying otherwise, even though im a rap lover, I like listening to classic tunes such as this, wasn't being sarcastic at all.
Next time you should really read the comment thoroughly before gettin all uptight for real.
@fvn3489 Sorry bro, I can get like that on the internet. Thing is I love rap myself, I think it's a good vocal instrument and awesome way to write lyrics, and I thought you were drawing a stereotype. I should really think before I say, so I don't say what I think.
@fvn3489 well arent you quite the multicultural hipster! no offense towards you personally. these types of comments just come off as... tooting your own horn so to speak. its like instead of complimenting the art you are complimenting your ability to pick out art

One of the most powerful pieces of music I have ever heard. I was outside staring at the moon when I listened to it, almost shat myself when I heard it. Thank you!
We still have the skills to create and advance in such beautiful and story telling music, its just that we have some how forgotten and you don't earn as much money on it as RNB.
The scene of creation, with this song is one of the most beautiful scene of all time. I've almost cried. This is a fucking great and beautiful movie.Ican't describe. Mallick is a genius, he could toucht all my emotions and feelings, in this search for the world' and life's understanding.
@VictorIRONMAIDEN666 I was deeply impressed with Malliick movie,( and his others movies as well), just like you were. however, I really don't understand why you have tou use the F word to qualify what you' ve seen
This is probably the fifth time I've listened to this music today, and I saw "The Tree of Life" just last night. Call me obsessed, but I can't help it. This is so beautiful it just haunts me!
did preisner compose this piece? I know Berlioz has a movement titled Lacrymosa in his requiem. Malick used Berlioz's Requiem Agnus Dei in his film during the creation scene right before he uses this piece. Mozart also has a composition titled lacrimosa from his Requiem. Can someone please help me and let me know if Preisner composed this piece.
@chavezcarlos32 Lacrimosa comes from the Latin for 'tears' or 'crying' and is the usual title for part of a requiem (a mass for the dead), or other lamenting pieces. So it makes sense that there are many pieces titled that same way. Hope this is helpful and not to pretentious!
@chavezcarlos32 All requiems are the same, with the same composition, same lyrics, the difference between the Requiems of Verdi, Mozart, Preisner etc. is the music ;)
@sgreprettymonkey Preisner composed Lacrimosa for his friend Kieslowski (a famous polish director) who tragically died in a car crash a couple of years ago.
@sgreprettymonkey Well, you said 'you can't believe there're people out there who can still compose pieces like this", what I'm saying is that it's a Mozart's different version, not Preinsner's completely. But I get your point, though.. this piece is plain beautiful, so much that it hurts
There's one song I thought was a very old classic piece, but no it was made like, idk, 12 years ago for a movie... I bet you've listened to it: watch?v=KN5AG14x8mQ
