I didn't like his voice for the first forty seconds, but I liked it a lot more after that. I'm so happy that I'm able to mostly understand the top line without reading the bottom now :D
@honeybunchbunny I hope you didn't men all swedes/scandinavians think they're better than others, or that we are stupid. You know I'm from sweden and I want to move to another country when I grow up, though I don't wanna lose my swedish language, ever!
You can't imagine how much I wish they brought back old disney. Lion King will always be my favorite cartoon. Mainly because of the music and story, but also because i remember it from my childhood. Old Disney!!<3 =DD
Jag känner rent spontant att Görran Hägglund skulle kunna basera en kampanj på den här låten. En familj, en konstellation. Kolla, även lejonen har fattat grejen!
Sverige har klart bäst röster till alla dom äldre disneyfilmerna, det är lixom ett djup och en personlighet i rösten som är för perfekt för varje karaktär!! :O :D
As a swede I'm getting really happy when I read all those comments about how beautiful our language is, that's something I'm not thinking about when I hear the swedish versions of disneysongs because I'm used to the language, but I think it's really beautiful too when I really listen, it's a musical language!
@theKARSE hey, could you give me your msn or something so we can chat? i´ve got tons of questions about sweden that i need to ask to someone who actually lives there =D, im very curious
@theKARSE it's because of people like you i don't prefer countries like sweden above other countries i mean like, you really think you're better, you are so stupid.
@Nanaki36 What about The Baltics, Russia, Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland and France? btw Finland is more of a baltic state :)
det låter så fint på svenska! simbas röst är otrolig, så stark och faderlig. okay my swedish is not good but seriously this is so amazing! ive always thought that nothing could beat the finnish dub but this is just something so beautiful and touching.♥
Ingen mer än jag som stör mig på den sjukt dåliga sk. engelska texten? Dom svenska orden är, i princip, bara översatt till engelska och sen ditklämda i samma ordning.
I'm just saying that I can see many words that are similar in German or English. But of course that doesn't mean I understand much of it. Winter, Maus, Haus, Wir, Lust, gut, Gott, Laus, Fuß, sinken, singen, Salz, Gold, Buch, mein, muss, Mann, bitter, mild, harmlos, wild usw. are all words that have very similar English cognates, but that doesn't mean someone who only speaks German can speak much English, either, because there are also many differences.
There are even examples were it's very similar or even the same in German, such as "dag=Tag=day, kraft=Kraft=power". Yes, so I do understand quite a bit, but I don't think it would be enough to understand the meaning if I only understand some words.
I speak German and English, but I can hardly understand any Swedish except for a few words such as förstå=verstehen=understand, väg=Weg=way, gå=go=gehen, så=so=so, vi=we=wir, följer=folgen=follow, din=dein=your, dig=dir=you, allting=all things->everything=alles, känns (pronounced shens)=scheint (pronounced shinet)=seems, hopplöst=hopeless=hoffnungslos,
min=mein=my, stolta=stolz=proud, mer=mehr=more, är=are=sind, vill=will=I want, förfäder=Vorväter="forefathers"=ancestors. I do understand a bit.
@Kreloar Actually English and German are too distant from the North Germanic languages for you to understand much, especially since they borrow a lot of Romance vocabulary. Norwegian, Icelandic and Danish would be more similar.
@Kreloar Wouldn't that mean you will be able to make connections with English and German more than Swedish? North Germanic languages preserve more of the original Germanic vocabulary you see :-)
@theJrLinguist Oh, yes of course. I thought you meant that Swedish borrowed a lot of words from Romance languages. But German didn't borrow that many words from French or Latin, indeed German is much more similar to the Scandinavian languages than English is. E.g. German: Kraft, Norwegian, Danish and Swedish: kraft. English: force. German: ja, almost all other Germanic languages: also "ja". English: yes. German has preserved much more of the original Germanic vocabulary than English.
jag har nog lyssnat på den 40 gånger bara på 1 timme:D jag älskar den med rösterna och så är jag uppvuxen med filmerna:D kommer alltid att älska denna låten

@Mimibie /watch?v=n8rKEAxHcw0 a very good swedish dub of a danish movie. I'm a native swedish speaker, so I know what I'm talking about. In case you're wondering, the groom only says "nej" which is swedish for "no".
@09feb1992 It's very different kinda often I think.. I really like your version of Tarzans "You'll be in my heart", so I listen to it on Spotify when I'm gonna sleep, haha ;P

@Lindex97 I'm Swedish, and sorry, but I don't think Swedish and English very alike each other. Yes, English is easy to learn for a foreigner, but Swedish isn't, since we have much fewer grammatical rules than what English have.
@meandmybutweiser actually finish is not a germanic language, finish comes from the russian part ;)

Man blir ju GRYMT stolt över att vara svensk. Det var 11 år sedan jag hörde denna låt och såg denna film. Men nu när jag sitter här och lyssnar så kan man inte låta bli att bli barnslig och få ett stort leende på läpparna. Älska sverige!

When u think about it, sweden and English is kinda alike

@Lindex97 I'm Swedish, and sorry, but I don't think Swedish and English very alike each other. Yes, English is easy to learn for a foreigner, but Swedish isn't, since we have much fewer grammatical rules than what English have.
Also our pronounciations may be hard to learn.

@Lindex97 Also, people tends to think that their native language is the easiest one in the world, but other people may have a different opinion.
