Mmkay I need some help. I'm just a high school student, not a businessman, and all I need in a phone is one that calls and texts. My family doesn't have any sort of internet plan or anything, so if I got this phone would our plan have to start including mobile internet? Also I'm concerned about battery life, everyone says it's bad but all I do is call and text. So basically what I'm asking is does this phone work well as a non-smart phone? Will it serve my needs well or should I look elsewhere?

Theres no reason to get a blackberry or any other 'smartphone' on verizon without the data package. You will just end up paying huge data fees if you take advantage of it's features.

no it doesn't have wifi. Verizon rarely makes a phone that has wifi. It defeats the purpose of there network. They have the largest 3g network in the country. At&t and Sprint combined are not even close. So technically you don't need Wifi when you are with VZW. Hope this helps.

They are basically the same phone in a different form factor. If you prefer folding phones, get the flip. If you prefer bar shaped phones, get the Pearl.
