  • You Gays need to stop hating Donna Summer..Sorry that she doesn't love you

  • I want cake.

  • probably the best karaoke song of all time.

  • This song is a masterpiece

  • I've been in love with this song since I saw Manila perform it.

LOVE DONNA SUMMER! and Richard Harris for writing it!

  • @Zealousy00 jimmy webb wrote it. richard harris just performed

  • This is, of course, the worst song ever written.

  • @jbrodu and you, sir, are a mug.

  • Thanks desert bus for leading me here, great song

  • This is my Pride 2011 anthem!

  • It's kinda weird but this feels like a Christmas song...

  • EPIC!!!

  • This song shouldn't be allowed to end...

  • Summer Morodote.

  • I heard a rumour about her being actually a man. There is actually something manly and sexy about her. It awakes my kinky side.

  • @thisisnotzimbabwe No, she is definitely not a man.Only a gay man who aspires to be a drag queen could come up with something as ridiculous as that.

  • @kad936 the fact that I like dressing in women underclothes does not mean that I am gay! I think that your liking of Donna Summer's songs shows that you are a sensitive man and have a good taste for music. Where do you live? We could meet for a coffee together... ;)

  • @thisisnotzimbabwe .LMFAO...

  • Michelle Bachmann's baking a cake for Obama. Or whatever she said at the debate earlier.

  • homer s song xD

  • Reminds me of my Lost Love...

  • I like when someone switches on the vacuum cleaner @ 2 :34

  • Maravilhosa e ficam ouvindo Lady Gagá ridícula.

  • she does not like gay people. I do not like this fact and i grew up with her music and have 45 lps of this very song. DAMN YOU for not embrassing gayness, its' 2011, get over it MS SUMMER. OK. you didn't allow yourself to poster child your music into gayness but , well , you won. YEAH ! GAGA has now taken the thrown and is running with it. BUT what a shame you failed to be nice to gay people back in the 70s. BITCH !

  • i was in me teems when sonna was singing so thats why i like her songs better than bow cos it all sexually orienated where as 70's was what you saw made it sexy not gyrating all thru the videos like nowadays

  • ディスコに行ってた青春の頃の名曲!!あの頃楽しかったなー

  • Where's the song I want to hear her sing .....

  • the SONG if disco has have a definition!

  • great memories of 78

    a truly wonderful time

  • @SuperBoogley I'm with you there Dude!!

  • 永遠の名曲♪

  • Jurrassic Park is frightening in the dark...

  • WOW. I grew up listening to Donna even though my mom didn't speak English and I couldn't grasp the beauty of this song at 8, It gave me goosebumps even back then. Donna is a legend!

  • WOW WOW WOW GREAT THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!

  • im sorry..but am i the only one who can't take the lyrics seriously at all? sounds like a family reunion gone bad.

  • @itspaisley quite possibly. As a child I loved this song literally for those sentiments. When you grow up, you get to read between the lines, all the sweet green icing, flowing down... some just can't take it from either view. This is a nice disco cover, from the age of innocents revisiting childhood's end; perhaps if you listened to the Richard Harris version, it may otherwise impress you. It is a really great song, IMHO.

  • @itspaisley That's pretty much the meaning behind it...

  • youtube -> yves paquet - mcarthur park

  • Donna has been one of my primary idols since I was 7, and that was back when loving disco made you a social pariah.

  • Donna is my Queen since I was 13 !!! And for disco lovers : you can download rare disco songs on my blog : DISCO CHEZ JULIAN ! ;))

  • THis song is amazing O_o !! Sometimes I wonder why we even bother putting new stuff out these days . 80% of mainstream music is now whores and/or posers "singing" like robots thanks to autotune with alarm clock sounds in the backround . Very sad ...I was born 10 years after this song came out but still I feel nostalgic somehow :p

  • @Snutih i like this very much...

  • Cruising around in my '78 Z-28..Those were the days!! OMG...What "sweet" memories! Luv you Donna!

  • three words: I love this

  • is a very beautiful video

  • is a very beautifull video

  • Very good.

  • MASTERPIECEEEEEEEEEEE !

  • FASHION ICON, SEXXY!!!! QUEEN OF DISCO FOREVER DONNA SUMMER!!!!

  • i loved this song in 78 and still do it was a dance floor hit

  • Is this serious?

  • donna summer for years.

  • Darn that green icing melting!!!

  • ice climbers brought me here

  • Manila who? Donna is LEGEND.

  • Didn't do Richard Harris any justice, in my opinion.

  • Maybe this is why it's a lie.

  • 2:29 she pulls the microphone away and her voice stays amplified......

  • @qwerty2149 i agree, she sang this song live at another venue, but this night she was lip syncing a prev live version. like qwerty21493 said, she pulls the mike away but the voice got stronger

  • Comment removed

  • This version of the song was a classic back in the days of Disco. We had tons of fun back then dancing to this song and many others. Those were fun days indeed.

  • prefiero la version de richard harris.....

  • HOMER!!!

  • And here I thought "Friday" had the worst lyrics I had ever heard.

  • wtf where's the singing go

  • hate the words spoils the video

  • thumps up if dorkly bits got u here (college humor too) ;)

  • a part le funk qu'est ce qui nous reste?nom de dieu de la bassss.

  • Who is Manila? I listened to this song after hearing it in 'According To Jim' :P

  • @Fnuller92 a drag queen who lip synced to this song and did a hella good job.

  • Manila iws a one of a kind drag queen!! lovee love her!!

  • @ 2:33 there is fist pump action

  • Who the fuck is Manila? Weird Al brought me here bitchez.

  • one of the greatest songs of all time and 'friday' (rebecca black LOL) has 39million times more views. lol . we live in a crazy world. .... my fave version of this song is glen campbells btw. it brings a tear the talent.

  • this has always been a great song in the gay world! It was always a hit,Shes the queen of disco!!HELLO. And one one thing...how the hell can u love a song and not know what the fuck its about..come on really?? lots of loveee xoxoxoxo

  • clasico

  • man i use to love this song but the words in are tells me someone stoned wrote it

  • @deadlypete1 - Google "Jimmy Webb".

  • Manila Luzon performed it way better.....wish she had won.

  • HAha I love our History teacher xD

  • God bless Donna Summer for singing about the dangers of pastry products and percipitation.

  • @baxtersave96 god hears u son.

  • @baxtersave96 LOL this was the laugh of the week. thanks!

  • this is a great disco song but who every wrote it must have been baked ha ha!

  • who the fuc!< is that Manlina /manila luzon? to compare a clasic to a garbage? that is ...

  • Such an incredible song, you would think she's singing about losing the love of her life, but bitch is singing about a cake that got ruined in the rain! I guess for some people, cake is equivalent to love.

  • "someone left the cake out in the rain, and I don't think that I can take it, cuz it took so long to bake it, and I'ill never have that recipie again, OH NO!. AHH AHHH" When I was young I never relized that the song was so werid, but now I do, but I still love it!

  • is it just me, or is donna summer a dead ringer for sahara davenport (not the other way around, lol)???

  • the best disco song ever

  • "SOMEONE LEFT MY CAKE OUT" WHAT AM I GONNA EAT?

  • @manuelli001 Strudel!

  • Manila Did Soo Good!! Since I Herd Manila Lip SInk I Lovee Thiss Sonq!!!!!

  • Manila earned her keep with her performance of this song on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 3. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Work, B!tch....go, Heather!!! That was so fetch!!!!!!

  • jurassic park is frightting in the dark

  • THIS IS THE STUPIDEST SONG EVER!!!!

  • @kidtune00 Ah, you are SO young and naive. Those of us old enough to remember this song when it was new recognize that the song is a metaphor for lost love. Over the years I've heard versions by Richard Harris, Diana Ross, Sammy Davis, Jr., The Four Tops, and a live performance by Aretha Franklin. Though you are certainly entitled to dislike it, you should also recognize that it DOES have meaning to many.

  • @Alikah1 I did not now that. Thats awesome! :)

  • @Alikah1 THATS WHAT IT MEANS...I THOUGHT SO WAS JUST NOT SURE. HEY THANKSSS

  • ONLY CAUSE OF manila THIS SONG GOT ONE MILLION HITS

  • @orunaufa i dont think so ...donna summers is sicking

  • @orunaufa This song was around long before manila whatever lol

  • @orunaufa IN AMERICA THIS IS A CLASSIC LOL

  • @orunaufa You telling me that the tabla had nothing to do with it

  • I can see why Beyonce idolizes her....do you agree?

  • When Richard Harris sings this song it seems silly (though it still sounds good)...I can only take this version seriously :P

  • What a voice and beauty...God givien.

  • She makes me cry with joy!

  • thumps if you like this song after to see manila luzon. :D

  • @lanfareth19 I'm from México and I knew this song cause I saw Manila in Drag race by youtube!!!

  • @arturolaja2690 si fue muy genial! me tengo ese episodio solo por ese pedazo saludos desde colombia!

  • Omg Manila thank youu

  • it's a drug trip, the cake is drugz... btw Donna looks fabulous here. I believe this is from a TV-special??? can anyone confirm???

  • it's a drug trip, the cake that's melting is drugz...

  • Hahaha i heard of this song because of rupauls drag race.! I LOVE THAT SHOW.!!!

  • Is this song really about a cake? It actually makes less sense with the subtitles. The cake is called "Macarthur's park"? What???

  • la la la The garbage pot was melting... la la la

    I remember this song!

  • she's awesome, entrance

  • this is my vision of the song ... a relationship made in "McArthurs Park", the cake a relationship, a break up "rain", the cake melts away ... lyrics are not weird if they fit a portion in your life as most of us have encountered ... this song makes complete sense and Donna Summer delivers the cake in the most amazing way! Thank you DS

  • I know this song is supposed to have symbolism, but the lyrics are so bizzare

  • hey..what a fucking cheap 3rd gen monocular rip off....lol

green with envy. figure it out yourselves, special olympics paramilitary history brach stump...

    lol

  • SAS..you AND Harpo and the stolen TRAF go fuck yyourselves.

I've never seen you make arses of yourselves 500 times... just felt your effects.

Wasnt that embarassing...? Swan for a swallow? stone for a scene? Doug out Doug on point?

    LMFAO.

DONT cut the cake. "Grass" on that, ROOTS. I knew this other SAS bloke once...

  • exceptional and unforgettable

    .

  • this is such a weird song= the music is banging but the the lyrics make no sense at all

its almost like they wrote the selody and then just shoved any lyrics in to get an idea of how it would sound and then never changed them

  • this is such a weird song= the music is banging but the the lyrics make no sense at all

  • I saw Priscilla: Queen of the Desert on Broadway and couldn't stop smiling ever since! Such an epic rendition of this song. Thumbs up if you saw Priscilla on Broadway!!

  • @stripedhero My dear friend Jodie did the costuming for Priscilla in Sydney and WHAT A SHOW IT WAS!*!*!

    Just fan-ffin-TASTIC!*

  • I want to see Manila do this performance sometime just by herself... without Delta holding up her bracelet like its a cake with green icing left in the rain.

  • I would be mad as hell if someone left my cake in the rain...

  • @jeremikay Haha!!

  • RUPAULS DRAG RACE 3 MADE ME FALL IN LUV WITH THIS SONG.... WERK MANILA LUZON!!!!!

  • replay? oh hells yes!

  • what version of karaoke is it please? Thanks

  • what version of karaoke is it please? Thanks

  • I love that all the comments for this video are about Drag Race. Those girls WORKED. IT.

  • when i saw manilla lip sync to this song i feel in love with this song

  • @nerdygurl1000 As did i

  • I see why Manilla was living when lip sync'ing to this. it made me so EXHILARATED when I lip synced to this.

  • what a strange song....

  • jurassic park is frighting in the dark, all the dinosaurs are running wild

  • I love how this movie from eons ago is now brought back life thanks to some sassy amazing Drag Queens. oh society.

  • @quietlittlemonsterz No Raja is Indonesian. Pls go watch the episode 9 again or check her wiki (sutan amrull).

  • Manila tore it up that was one of my fave performances ive ever seen!

  • Stellar. and Delbert McClinton wrote the tune.

  • Manila did what Drag Queens do best and it ain't lip syncing for their lives, it's putting on a show by being entertainingly good, by knowing the material and the emotions behind each lyric to every song you perform. Those tears were not because she wanted to stay but because she didn't want to send her freind home. But it's a competition not a reality show to for whose the best friend. I must say Delta had a fierce lip sync too but Manila, wow, not since Chanel has a queen brought it like that!

  • Glad Delta went home...get to together and please stop thinking your shi% doesn't stink!

    WORK Mailna!

  • @LdyK THANK YOU! SOMEONE WHO AGREES WITH ME!! MAANILLA <3

  • manila nailed her performance delta's just a pig walkin round actin like she a dat shes a back stabber!! go alexis, shangela, yara, and manila!!! :!

  • PabloGomezR - Maybe she is just singing about a cake?

  • It sucks that Logo wont let me make any comments, so the next best thing I thought was to take it to youtube to defend the fiercest queens of Rupaul's Drag Race Season 3. That's right, the always fierce Raja, the beautiful amazing Manila, and the talented Alexis. I know people think Carmen is just a pretty face, but she's hilarious. I liked Shangela in the beginning but she's just a mean instigator and self-proclaimed victim. I hope Yara takes the title of Congeniality and not her.

  • @WhaleSperm shangela is amazing and raja's turned into a bitch, he was so nice when he was make up artist on ANTM

  • Its funny that the comments are even about the song but Rupaul's drag race!
