Bulgarian do come from central on the Balkan.But: Originally they come from Balkh , north Afghanistan, since they are scythian tribes. Aftrerwords they went to central Asia, where they mixed with turkic tribes as the Onugundurs. Turkic culture had some influence on protobulgarian, but they are not and have never been turkic tribe. Don't lie. Tatar people are descent of the Turkic Bulgars but today nobody uses that name. None of my Tatar friends and none of their Tatar relatives or any Tatar they know, all of them say use 'Tatar' to identify themself since most Tatars don't want to be associated with the Slavic Bulgarians in the Balkan who have nothing to do with their Turkic-Bulgar ancestors.

Real Bulgars in Bulgaria? Are you kidding me? Bulgarians in Bulgaria ara a bunch of Slavized bastards! They don't have anything to do with the REAL Bulgars of TATARSTAN. Also, Tatars don't look like Chinese. The overwhelming majority of the Tatars are Caucasian looking, some have a bit Mongoloid influencess - like you have gypsy influencess. But still they are more Bulgar then you will ever be.
Also, we are talking about ethnics, not about religion.

Bulgarian do come from central on the Balkan.But: Originally they come from Balkh , north Afghanistan, since they are scythian tribes. Aftrerwords they went to central Asia, where they mixed with turkic tribes as the Onugundurs. Turkic culture had some influence on protobulgarian, but they are not and have never been turkic tribe. It is recorded in ancient armenian and byzantinian books (for exemple Teofan 4 AC) that bulg. are scythian. So BG have not forgotten their origin and BG aren't Slavs!
