Zoos aren't exactly known for taking incredibly amazing care of their animals, but people who really put their heart into their care for their monkeys obviously see them as more than just entertainment. If you compare a monkey that is living in a zoo to a monkey that has a loving owner, there is no competition to see which is happier.

Don't do it. Monkeys will be happy and playful when they're young, but when they get older they won't be happy anymore. Monkeys aren't made to be a pet, how good you'll treat them, stey'll start biting for example. ALL monkeys do. You need an enormous cage and at least 2 or 3 monkeys for them to be happy.
