@sparaticus039 for the second gunner slot wouldn't the Zoom optics help a lot more in case you are at a far distance? Also what do you think about the Laser Painter for the Pilot? I am close to unlocking it and don't know if it is worth putting that in my loadset or not.
@ramennoodlechef I have my gunners run with flares to keep us alive longer, but it depends on the situation. Personally, I would go with thermal optics over zoom any day of the week. You will see WAY more infantry running around below you than you'd probably expect. Laser painter is good if you've got a team that runs javelins and a gunner using guided missiles. TBH though, you can eliminate a tank in a single pass with regular rockets and the gunner's cannon.

How is that not better? Just because it's hard to get used to doesn't mean it's not superior to the guided missile.
@gullyguysince93 IR flares are useless compared to ECM. ECM not only prevents lock ons from heat-seekers/stingers, but also prevents the lock on from laser painters/soflam/CITV station. Also, if you are at a distance when an enemy shoots heat seekers, you can deploy ECM and make a quick altitude change and the missiles will miss just like with IR flares. Plus, if the lock on is at close range, your IR flares aren't going to do anything anyways.

@alexi1x3 Yup the default rockets are much more accurate. Dont mix them the guided MISSILE wich is a 3 slot unlock for the gunner against tanks and painted aircrafts

@BeaTBoXxStyle if you are talking about back to karkand expansion, each of the 4 maps (except for strike at karkand and wake island) have 2 versions, like shaqi peninsula1 have heli but shaqi peninsula2 is just a little map with tanks and jeeps.

@halabinono their semi-active, so the rocket has to be close to the vehicle being shot at. they don't completely follow the enemy, not like H.Seekers.

@theREALrt YOU stfu. There's a reason why heat seekers are called "Heat Seekers" and there's a SEPERATE unlock called "Guided Rockets" for pilots, which is what the title of the video says.

Sorry for being nooby but I just want to work this out. Does the guided rocket specialisation replace the normal missiles (ones with grey smoke trails) with ones that are heat seeking?
@SnopakProductions Pilot doesn't have missiles. Only the gunner has. This makes the pilots un-guided rocket "semi-guided" which means you don't have to aim perfectly at your target, the rockets will curve themselves to the target. However they can't curve too much. That's my understanding.

how excatly does the guided rocket work? correct me if I am wrong, does it work like the anti-tank stationary? meaning the rocket just correct its direction toward where the pilots crosshair is pointing at? or this upgrade actually makes the rocket fly toward the target on its own?? i couldn't land so many hit markers with this upgrades, almost useless to me...
I find them not that necessary, and I tried using them on chopper and they didn't reach the target. They are bad, I think dice nerefed them in an update. And against stealth or auto loader, IDK...
Also I hate that the end unlocks of the attack heli are the worst : tv missile is so hard to control and guided rockets don't go far.
Also on the russian attack heli (havoc i think) you need to aim higher for the guided rockets, which can be very annoying.
You're not that great. I mean, good pilot, but not the best. Plus I don't see any guided rockets. If that's the title of the damn video, then you should probably highlight those. Instead, this is just, "Me flying around killing things."

As far as I can tell, not...And "guided rockets" are one of the two final upgrades for the helicopter and they don't need laser painters but yes, they are still called "guided rockets" (but they have 'semi-active' guidance). Check for yourself...

omg, this is NOT guided rockets, these are heat seekers, Guided rockets are the second last unlock, learn how to put a proper title up, Guided rockets are different from heat seekers get it right

@theREALrt YOU stfu. There's a reason why heat seekers are called "Heat Seekers" and there's a SEPERATE unlock called "Guided Rockets" for pilots, which is what the title of the video says.

I can take out AA gunners using guided rockets at a range they can't even touch me. I think it's a bit unbalanced actually, but I don't mind too much!

Sorry for being nooby but I just want to work this out. Does the guided rocket specialisation replace the normal missiles (ones with grey smoke trails) with ones that are heat seeking?

You still get 14 of them but they now SLIGHTLY the enemy in the crosshairs after you've fired them.

@SnopakProductions Pilot doesn't have missiles. Only the gunner has. This makes the pilots un-guided rocket "semi-guided" which means you don't have to aim perfectly at your target, the rockets will curve themselves to the target. However they can't curve too much. That's my understanding.

@stingreydid check my flawless 19-0 video thats after the patch.. the missiles just follow the i beam a lot more now, if you want them to home in on their targets they gotta be fired dead on, that way they try to track moving targets

how excatly does the guided rocket work? correct me if I am wrong, does it work like the anti-tank stationary? meaning the rocket just correct its direction toward where the pilots crosshair is pointing at? or this upgrade actually makes the rocket fly toward the target on its own?? i couldn't land so many hit markers with this upgrades, almost useless to me...

I find them not that necessary, and I tried using them on chopper and they didn't reach the target. They are bad, I think dice nerefed them in an update. And against stealth or auto loader, IDK...
Also I hate that the end unlocks of the attack heli are the worst : tv missile is so hard to control and guided rockets don't go far.
Also on the russian attack heli (havoc i think) you need to aim higher for the guided rockets, which can be very annoying.

You're not that great. I mean, good pilot, but not the best. Plus I don't see any guided rockets. If that's the title of the damn video, then you should probably highlight those. Instead, this is just, "Me flying around killing things."

As far as I can tell, not...And "guided rockets" are one of the two final upgrades for the helicopter and they don't need laser painters but yes, they are still called "guided rockets" (but they have 'semi-active' guidance). Check for yourself...
