This is amazing! with Audacity it is possible to slow the tempo from a 78 speed vinyl to a 331/3 for audio, only, but this is soooo much better! Thank you!

It's not trivial and there is never one way that works consistently, but basically google and persistence.

@dllahr Just use Jdownloader, past the video link into it, it's a download manager, works for things like megaupload too. Also, I downloaded this and put it in slo-mo and it was still high pitched, so I figured you had to change the pitch lower too? Maybe it's because I just put it in VLC and pressed the left arrow thing..

what software did you use to slow it down?

I use the Linux operating system, so it was command line tools: mencoder and ffmpeg. I had to use mencoder for the initial slow down, with the audio stored in pcm/wav format, and then ffmpeg to re-record it as an avi with audio recorded at the right sampling rate. It's at 43% the speed of the original, that was a guess I had to make based on trying to get Nat's voice to have the "right" pitch. Maybe we can hear from Nat someday about what speed it was really at...
