Welcome back to broadcasting. I worked for a summer season on the funicular railway about 10 years ago, when they still had the old carriages. I've yet to see the new art gallery but agree with you that there would have been better ways of spending the ratepayers money. I've a great affection for Hastings and am pleased to be able to see these films.
When I saw the title of this on your channel page it just said 'Hastings Miniature Railway's passing' and I thought 'Oh no!!' so you can imagine my relief to discover it is still running fine. I also used to ride on this as a kid when we came down from Tunbridge Wells for day trips in the 1970s. Glad you're well and back on youtube, please keep the videos coming! Best wishes Rich :-)
@rich3500 Nope,it's still very much alive.Speedy Fizzle's named after a very young engineer who was one of two people that thought the loco up,but he sadly died at at the very young age of only 24 after a short illness.

When I was about 3 years old I used to love trains and visiting railways, this brings back old memories from when my parents used to take me to visit places like this and go for rides on steam trains.
always wanted to ride on the miniature railway at Hastings. first time i went to Hastings it was raining hard all day in august of all months. well hopefully i'll make a trip down there sometime soon. Good to see your alright. Mark
