Take for example two of the latest greats, Tommi Makinen and the late Colin McRae. Makinen seems to keep the car in tight and sacrifice speed for the inside line, whereas McRae kept on the power and hung it wide, using every bit of road he could get.
Indeed, and to watch either of them race is amazing. It makes my own attempts at rally look like a knocky-kneed student driver on his first patch of snow.
