Aww at the beggining when he said 'it's thursday night, it's live...' it brought a lump to my throat! Top Of The Pops was murdered by freeview music channels etc! :-(
I loved this song as a kid. It's sort of 50's country mixed with 80's pop. The 80's were great for me cos I was small and had no worries.
