I Heard the peacock don't climb each other for mating they have unique way. just before the rain starts the male will spread his feather and start dancing. and then he will drop a tear from his eyes wich the female will pick up and that is how. I think it is fertilizing not matting that is involved in peacock breading.
@salmanfaris2000 LOL no it's a feather that got caught on the rock in the back as the male turned around. What your seeing is it moving back (but it doesn't look the same, a bit more crooked).
People always call these displays "mating" or "courtship" but they also do it as a threat posture to scare away predators.

Peafowl mate in the same way other birds mate by getting onto the back of the female. I couldn't see properly on the video but it was probably shit.
