First of all, I like this band and I thought they did a really good job when I saw them open up for Jeremy Camp recently. However, I noticed this chorus sounded familiar to something I've heard before and I finally figured it out. It's just like "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. I'm not trying to "take them down" or anything. I'm sure it was one of those inadvertent accidents that musicians make when song writing or may be they gave Journey credit. I don't know, if someone does, I'm curious.
After going through so much, no matter where you are in your walk, if you even have one, God is always there for us! If I of all people could be saved by Grace, then I know He can do the same for anyone that asks for it! Never think for a moment that you are too aweful to be saved from your mistakes. You make interesting points Keenan...my only question is, if you are correct, then why and how do so many athiests and agnostics turn around to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ and live a life full of His grace? After all, according to your argument, they HAVE looked at both sides, the only difference is they started out on the side you walked over to. God is real, and the relationship He offers us is real. It does make sense. No one ever told me to believe in Jesus, my parents are atheists in fact. Like I said I'm young, barely a teenager, haven't had much time to look into it. I believe it though through personal experiences as I said before. And I do in fact know a little bit of the facts, more than most people my age do. And I still stand strong. Read Luke 16. In Jesus' parable when Lazarus (the beggar) died and went to heaven and the rich man went to hell, the rich man asked God if he could tell his brothers. God said they have the prophets, what more do they need? The rich man said but if Lazarus rises from the dead and talks to them they will believe. God replied, if they cannot believe what the prophets did, not even a miracle will save them. Ironic, Jesus rose from the dead...and athiests don't believe.

I won't go into them, but in a summary: those two subjects have to be so precise, that it isn't possible for it to have been 'random.' Not only that, but Jesus resurrected. I don't know about you, but I don't see anybody else coming back to life. Don't say that he didn't either: it's well documented (not just the bible).

There is no way you can prove God does not exist by saying we have not done these miracles. For one you have no proof that a christian has not drank poison and lived, and time has not ended, someone could still do these miracles.

You make interesting points Keenan...my only question is, if you are correct, then why and how do so many athiests and agnostics turn around to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ and live a life full of His grace? After all, according to your argument, they HAVE looked at both sides, the only difference is they started out on the side you walked over to. God is real, and the relationship He offers us is real. We have a choice to begin that relationship that is also real and undeniable.

well y do so many christians become atheists? stats say that nearly 80 % of christian youth will loose their faith by their last year of college. for the atheists that do become believers this is no new phenominom because EVERY single christian at one point was an atheist. people are not born religious they must be taught religion. u yourself at one point were not a christian. so the fact that there are any christians shows that atheists can convert. this doesnt mean ur faith is right tho.

If you wanna find out if God is real then pray to Him, ask for evidence. Anyone who is a TRUE Christian has had a love encounter with God. lol, i was a STRONG CHRISTIAN FOR MANY YEARS. in fact, i have only been a deist/agnostic for about two years (i am 18 btw). i wasnt faking or "going thru the motions" (this is something im often accused of), i was serious and REALLY had faith. i was a born again christian and had believed and trusted in gods promise of salvation thru the work of christ for my sins, and i repented of my sins as the bible sais one must do to be saved...

I was as much a christian as any one of u on here. the reason i am no longer one is because i looked at the evidence from BOTH SIDES and wheighed the arguments. sure if u only look at the guys who agree with u (as i originally did) then ur faith will become strong as ever, but if u look at opposing view points honestly and with earnest, it is likely that ur views could change (yes it is possible to be a christian and "loose faith").

the gospels are NOT CONTEMPORARY documents to this event. the earliest gospel wasnt even written until about 30 years after jesus died. christian apologists even admit this. if u dont believe me go read lee strobals book the case for the ressurection. also, even if we did have contempary documents of this event, that wouldnt prove that it happened. for example, we have thousands of eye wittness accounts of allien abductions. many of these stories share striking details w/ each others....

Some people like me, may not know the facts or anything, but they know that they have something they can believe in. They've had experiences where they know in there heart there is something bigger than us out there. You have a good argument, but is there any reason to ruin someones hope when they come here to listen to a christian song, not have their beliefs challenged? It does make sense. No one ever told me to believe in Jesus, my parents are atheists in fact. Like I said I'm young, barely a teenager, haven't had much time to look into it. I believe it though through personal experiences as I said before. And I do in fact know a little bit of the facts, more than most people my age do. And I still stand strong. Yes, coincidences exist, but not like I've seen them. Merry Christmas. :)

Read Luke 16. In Jesus' parable when Lazarus (the beggar) died and went to heaven and the rich man went to hell, the rich man asked God if he could tell his brothers. God said they have the prophets, what more do they need? The rich man said but if Lazarus rises from the dead and talks to them they will believe. God replied, if they cannot believe what the prophets did, not even a miracle will save them. Ironic, Jesus rose from the dead...and athiests don't believe.

Sometimes I wonder why atheists like to get on places like this and try to call us out, and make it seem as if we are the ones that are wrong. By why thinking of that just now, its because they really are just wanting us to reach out to them, just maybe their waiting for one of us get ahold of them and truly lead them to Christ. (sigh) u shoud REALLY research big bang cosmology more. assuming that ur premice is correct (its not btw but for arguments sake lets suppose it is) jus saying "god did it" doesnt prove anything and only creates more questions than answers. for instance, if time and the universe came into existance simultainiously, then how is there a god taking sequential actions? where did this god come from? if its infinate, how is this possible?

now, about YOUR specific god, i can w/o a shadow of a doubt PROVE that he doesnt exist. 1) the bible makes very specific promises that have not been fufilled. ex: mark ch 16 sais that christians will be able to do miricals like drink snake poison & live. this is NOT true. 2) the bible is VERY contradictory. ex: 2KI 8:26 vs 2CH 22:2. look these verses up in the KING JAMES bible since some NEWER VERSION HAVE DELIBERATELY TAKEN THIS ERROR OUT.

I can't name a "single best", though there is enough evidence to write a paper. Time and time again though, Christians have presented the evidence and the evidence has been ignored. Evidence is not what will convince you of Christianity. Earnestly seeking the truth will reveal truth. If you're really curious about what this Christian stuff is about, read through the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the Bible. You might just discover some things for yourself. =) Have a great day!

I won't go into them, but in a summary: those two subjects have to be so precise, that it isn't possible for it to have been 'random.' Not only that, but Jesus resurrected. I don't know about you, but I don't see anybody else coming back to life. Don't say that he didn't either: it's well documented (not just the bible).
