Im pretty sure you are supposed to alternate those. its RightFlam left right right left left, then another LeftFlam right left left right right. So you have to incorporate a tripple stroke roll to alternate them. Its harder but thats how I learned them.
Parra-diddles are super easy for me, but adding the flams makes me double up on my right hand... any suggestions?

i think the correct way to study the flam paradiddle is: fR L R R fL R L L : ... and your "excercise" names the double flam paradiddle, is this:
: fR L R L R R fL R L R L L : that way is much better cause you are training tha both hands.
