  • @adiblasi Thanks for sharing! That "tour" was amazing, bet it was even better in person.

  • HD def tape - 240p quality

could you reupload in say 480? or even 720??? :(

  • This could be made into an episode of The Office :-P

  • What a fantastic looking machine for its day. Thanks for sharing! Just be glad that careless FedEx deliveryman didn't chuck it over your fence. :P How much did it cost (if you don't mind disclosing, Al)?

  • @darijoe Hi - This was an eBay purchased. I got it for $1,750 - plus another $100 or so for shipping and packing materials. While I 'get a lot of crap' for opening it up (as one sold new in the box, like this, for $10,000) it was NEVER the point to be an investment. This purchase was absolutely made for my viewers to share in the experience of "unboxing" that thing and "turning it on for the first time." And, as we say, "ohh, shiny" LOL! Glad you enjoyed the video. - Alfred.

  • that is a awesome sound at 20:49

  • i think it is a good unboxing

  • Ahead of the curve? The machine IS curved! Nice.

Possible HD redux in the future Al?

  • Awsome!!!!!!

  • You got the Hi-Def?

  • Hey Al, how much did you buy this from eBay?

  • I enjoyed your video, look at all the asshole posting negative comments. I never heard of this silly thing and totally like your video, it was very informative and I picked up on your excitement.

  • If i were you i would pretty much cut down the box

  • don't you think we can tell it's been packed well. The box is pretty much made of duck tape.

  • @matthew65536 duct

  • @ConfusedSponge don't you mean duh idiot

  • @matthew65536 ;-)

  • @Eneru89 I opened it to share it with my YouTube audience -- it wasn't purchased as an investment to 'stay in the box.' Nice.

  • @adiblasi I was ironic

  • @Eneru89 it's not shit it is and i quote "the computer for the rest of us" because you didn't have to go through a command line to use it.

  • @eneru89 an example of having to use A COMMAND line to use the gui commodore 64. sorry my keyboard got stuck on caps lock.

  • rip steve jobs

  • Man, I really want one of those. Seems like such a nice system, even today.

Once apple went OSX, I just lost my love for them...

Was such a nice vid to watch. I love your comedy Alfred. :D

  • Just awesome, the design of the Machine would still look awesome today.

  • Its ok just wish the camera satyed stedy

  • @02500l Quite frankly, with close to 4 minutes focused on a mannequin, you are an idiot for thinking that this was a 'real review' in the first place. Hopefully you bailed out after 30 seconds of footage of "Mac" -- after seeing that, what the f_ck did you expect? A serious review?

    You idiot.

  • Wow, has a nice screen, nice sound, boots up quickly, quite impressive for a fairly old system! And has a LCD display! Even more impressive! Thumbs up!

  • you guys are the best for this, thank you so much!!

  • I told y'all that Apple has been doing this!! the rest of you are clones that are 7 years behind

  • Technically I jus got head.

  • @muszxlzerob You are indeed correct - the TAM was in a Batman movie!

  • i think its a touch screen.

  • interesting there's a PCI port on the motherboard. I wonder how it was used as there's no room inside, but still one of the coolest looking macs around!

  • There is only one word to describe this all: COOL

  • GIMME THAT!

  • I've watched this video like 20 times now, can't help it. It's like you're undressing a beautiful woman... with an lcd display.

  • how much was shipping??

  • Did I really just sit thru 22 minutes of these idiots talking and making REALLY bad jokes to get 2 minutes of bootup????? Do yourself a favor...skip to the end if you want to actually see it in action.

  • @gentlefury Let me clarify why the "idiot" award goes to YOU ---- if you couldn't assess where we were going with this video, especially with the initial 'extended footage' and focus on a mannequin, well, sorry - I fault you.

You should have bailed out much earlier. And what did you expect after boot up? An install of Word 5.1 for Mac?

    You idiot.

  • NEVER DISS XP.... but vista welllll its true!

  • @Mr777luver I'm actually a big fan of XP and deploy it both at home and at my company. One of the best products Microsoft ever made.

  • @Mr777luver XP, one of the worst products Microsoft ever made.

Big fan of XP? Tell me why the hell that some icons are still from Windows 98, and why the hell I have to babysit an installation of Windows XP because it so surely needs questions answered IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SETUP, otherwise, installation just stops there. I can't even go get god damn lunch!

  • I wonder if we'll ever see an "anniversary" edition mac ever again...

  • @zevdwg probably not.

  • "Knock it off."

  • ............wtf is that ?

  • Love the (corny) video explaining design... a computer patting itself on the back after checking itself out lol. Good job guys.

  • How much are you willing to sell it?I bid 2000?what are the 2 double a batteries for?

  • Apple was really ahead of their time with that machine.

  • hd? you call 240p hd

  • Haha, using an Xbox camera to record the stream...my dawg.

  • High Definition ? My Butt .

  • Apple Fanboys - Never afraid of either wasting time or money

  • @Jimmybobjason1 Ahh, Jimmy - what a shame -- you are obviously not a stockholder who got in at 80. If you were, you'd be loving the 'Apple Fan Boys' - they are the ones pushing the stock over 300.

  • @Jimmybobjason1

Wintards- never afraid of dealing with the old, mundane, pathetic and walmart special of the month. I never knew troubleshooting was considered time well spent.

  • bc he sold you a very awesome peice of electronic history !!!!!!!!!!!

  • I bet seller Derek feels pretty stupid by now :)

  • @enjoirox1 Why?

  • New this was $7500.00

  • You should have never opened that….

  • @CreativelyMade I opened it to share the experience with you all -- it wasn't about 'saving it' to 'resell it later for more money' -- it was all about filming and documenting the unboxing -- for the viewers.

  • @adiblasi thanks for sharing. Not a partiular apple fan but that's an amazing machine. I can't figure out why someone thinks it should stay in a box, it might as well not exist.

  • I'm sorry do people on YouTube get brownie points that are then exchangeable for Amazon dollars for getting on here and writing snide comments on other people's comments??

If I cared what you think I would have a blog but thanks for playing anyway.

  • Comment removed

  • I too have a Twentieth Anniversary Mac, Sealed/Unopened, mint condition!

I was watching your YouTube tonight, I came across it while I was doing some research... You see, I was wondering if you might give me some information on what you paid for yours and what mine might be worth? Any chance you or one of your friends might like one of there own?

Anyway, feel free to email or call me,

    Jeff

  • is this guy a papparazzo?

  • I've always been a big fan of apple but I cant afford a Mac book or anything all I have is a stupid toshiba satellite running windows 7 at least I have my iPhone and geez id rather have Linux than windows

  • There was one of these in Jerry's apartment in the final seasons of Seinfeld.

  • "Do we have to put the bezzel on it?"

    "...The what?"

    lol

  • Many thanks for sharing this video. I have a TAM too (even including the huge outside box) and I now finally know how the actual system unit was packed inside the box and how the power supply cable was folded - I thought it was detachable from the system unit -

One tip here for you; buy a first generation Apple iPad right now (brand new sealed in box of course) and open the box over ten years and make a video of it and put it on youtube (if youtube still exists by that time ;-)

  • Either sony has a shitty camera "which I really doubt"... Or this is a different camera. lol

  • I remember this mac from Seinfeld!

  • i thought there was gonna be more bodies in the other boxes.

  • I miss Mac OS 8

  • your keeping it a secret how much you paid for it right?

  • One of my favourite Alfred videos!

  • what the heck is with the "baby"

  • KNOCK IT OFF

  • i would like to say thank you for the video, also how much did you pay for it?

  • Ow my god...the putted 2 boxes around the box with the box that holds the box of the Macintosh. O.o

  • @bartjoboy You know what's funny - the guy that packed it at FedEx actually watched this video -- he got a kick out of finally seeing something he packed get unboxed. LOL! Glad you liked it, even though it was rather long.

  • @adiblasi Haha, awesome! xD

  • This is one of the coolest things I've seen. Ever.

  • this is so funny especcially when he took the doll out of the box and his name was mac lol

  • 24:13 minutes¿?

  • Nice =D

  • someone take me out of here. wait. why can i talk? i'm unplugged. *blegh*

  • I would've kept that thing in box for the next 20 years - it would be worth a million bucks!

  • how many cows did they kill to make this?

  • @TheLegomaniac25 At least two cows - I had steak that night.

  • @adiblasi fag

  • @snowajay12 Jay, based on the date/time stamp of the comment you posted herein, specifically, a Friday night at 8:26 PM, I am indeed LMAO at your Friday night activities of searching (as this video is not promoted) and watching YouTube videos.

    And my response to you?

    >> Douchebag.

On an ancillary note, until you post your own content and contribute something to the YouTube community, do STFU.

  • @adiblasi Best.comeback.ever.

  • @adiblasi YES!!!!!!

    Hahahaha!

  • hmmm, very ecological packaging...

  • $1700? DAMN!

  • @pancakewafflebacon Only 100 were ever produced, and to get it in that condition was well worth the price of 1700, I would pay much more.

  • @7721oopsthatsmypin Nope. Apple made 12k and sold 11,601.

  • Does this have System 7.6 or OS 8?

Maybe you should install Mac OS 9 on it and do those videos of Mac OS 9 that you said you would do :)

  • imagine a fbi show with this except its a real head and body and no mac. The ebay vintage mac killer.

  • so did you keep all the packaging? Since its been a couple years, what have you done with the system?

  • Hi i am currently also gonig to get an imac. But i am just a bit short if you wish to donate just give us a bell on.

    rstgrsite@hotmail.co.uk

if you cant dont worry and its ok.

  • except for the screen size lol, IMO it looks just as good as the I-MAC. the sub has a nice design too( it must sound awesome).

  • and you opened it???? It's like raping the rainforest.....

  • @steelskyblue Go plant a tree, then.

  • lol "knock it off"

  • amazing peace of tech for its time.thanx for posting

  • you talked too much

  • @iamgodgvn You obnoxious ingrate. You typed too much.

  • I watched the whole thing. Very good!

  • @thedarkone2134 Thank you, Connor. I spent the money and harnessed my time as well as AdamB's for you all -- to share in the experience. I hope you continue to enjoy the content.

Oh, and just so you know, any of my videos market "Review", ESPECIALLY when I start out with the phrase "...a serious, granular review" is total crap. Kick back and have a few laughs, as I poke fun at the garbage we call 'unboxings' and 'technology.'

  • I'm surprised the PRAM battery didn't leak...I've had iMac G3s leak the batteries(those were the half-height AA batteries or whatever they are). Awesome video though! One day I hope to own a TAM

  • @torbar Hi Torbar - YES we were totally shocked that the PRAM battery didn't leak, and that the hard drive was still functional. Thanks for your kind words. My iPhone 4 "Unboxing and Review" is coming soon, so stay tuned...

  • @adiblasi did you got news of the registration card?

  • how much did it cost when u got it off ebay?

  • @theanthony345 $1,700 plus shipping. Yes, I got it for you all - the viewers, so you can share in the unboxing and first boot experience. Nice.

  • @adiblasi Omg you paid that much for that, wow.

  • @adiblasi I just want to say - Thank you!

  • @DeaderNBetter You are welcome! Make sure you check out ThisIsAdamB on YouTube as well -- my partner in crime with this tech crap.

  • Funny

  • Wow! What a fun unboxing! Good job :-D

  • what year did this come out?

  • a stinkin' head

  • how much did this cost u ?!?!?!?!!

  • holy crap, I just watched the whole thing... and thoroughly enjoyed it :)

  • @Dragonsrule89 Hello Dragon; I'm glad you enjoyed this video. Unboxing the TAM, which was new in the box, was a lot of fun. I did procure this piece of gear, even thought it was very expensive, to share the experience with my YouTube subscribers and Ustream viewing audience. Even the seller and shipper got in on it, with the packing of the dummy. Thanks for your kind words, and your support. Keep an eye out for an up and coming iPhone 4 review video, which will be loaded with lousy jokes.

  • that is the most retarded looking computer i have ever seen, that is 20 mins i will never get back.

  • that would be funny if you droped it

  • can you install mac os x on it? that would be awesome. can you make a video of it too?

  • I thought Apple was known to setup easy. this took too long. :)

  • People commenting "Was it necessary to make this vid 25 minutes long".. Why the fuck are you watching it?! Motherfucking idiots..

  • @ballachrille Hi Balla - yes, some of the comments really show the caliper of specific YouTube viewers; I usually read them on my live webcast, and my audience and I laugh our asses off. Thanks for watching, and your support. - Alfred.

  • I watch you videos and I promise myself not to laugh. I always break my promise.

Oh yeah, and I still haven't found a place for my huge DJ turntable thing that I bought for 200,000 off of ebay. I put it in my garage (3 car garage) and theres no room for anything else. I'm getting an extension stuck onto my house to fit it.

  • @AridSea LOL Nice!

  • If i was forced to listen to the constant chatter from this man for any longer than 2 minutes with his big box of ancient machinery which he treats with more reverence than the second coming I would be forced to see how well he fitted in said box, and then use a nail gun to try and seal it, listening to his screams of fear with a joyful glee in my heart, knowing he will never make a Video form of Vallium ever again

  • @Killhippie Hey Gary, that was well written, and pretty damn funny. DAMN, you have a lot of gray hair!

  • @Killhippie You misspelled "Valium".

  • how much was it

  • very slow

  • Got bored at 16:00-what a waste of money.

  • @WOWNumansi Holy crap -- you lasted through to 16 minutes? You must have taken your ADD medicine to do that! Outstanding!

  • OH MY GOD I WANT ONE DO YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN GET ONE?!!!

  • WANT TO WIN A IPAD VISIT MY CHANNEL

  • wait that is like 2 yrs ago does it still work?

  • I Would Like To Have the TAM's Boot Up Chord If That's Possible

  • wowoow a Mac

  • did you keep the boxes?

  • @macbookfan33 Absolutely! :)

  • And Its Running OS Ape!

  • Will U Make A Video Of You Upgrading This Computer To A G4 Please?

  • foreal "knock it off!" freakin annoying bro!...i like the vid but your annoying! damn!

  • @BAPU206 If you think the 'knock it awwf' catch phrase is annoying, wait till you watch more of my videos. Try tuning into the live show on Thursday night's at 9 PM US/Eastern on Ustream (see my profile page for the live web address) - you'll hear even more annoying catch phrases, as well as a constant echoing of those phrases by the viewing audience. Nice.

  • hmmmmm.....so this would be the quintessential definition of "fanboys"...

  • @ennuikiller No. Many years ago, I was a fan boy. At my age, it's 'fan man.'

  • you need years to talk. loooooooooong BS about some that looks liek crap.. WHY you cant just cut a short thing together and the uncut at the end >.>

  • @Shagron1349 Why couldn't the video have been very tightly edited, short, succinct, and to the point? I'll tell you why -- because if it was, then the video wouldn't have been considered 'extreme' and 'over the top.' That's the charm. Yes, over 8 minutes focused on the mannequin. It's the same reason why YOU have that ridiculous ASCII cat on your YouTube home page, where you need to scroll down four screens to get to the bottom of your profile.

Go watch 'Fred' videos - it's more your speed.

  • well, flopp disk are the most popular storage devices in the world!!! lol. jk jk

  • The paving stone to the imac

  • I love to watch this video! The best part of it is how excited adiblasi is in it! Very dedicated!

  • @rednes800 Hi Red - yes, that was an exciting 'unboxing' and {crappy} 'review'; I really wanted to share this event with everyone, and it certainly was a lot of fun, even the {long} segment with the dummy. Glad you are enjoying the videos!

  • @adiblasi I watch all your videos as they come keep up the great work sir!

  • Hell that pc seems almost as modern as a pc of 2010 ... and its more than 10 YEARS OLD !!!

  • Behold, the labyrinth to the lost computer of times past!

  • knock it off

  • knock it off god why does he keep saying that what a ass hole

  • @michael10662 Why do I keep saying it? It's a catch phrase, Michael. It has continuity with my audience. And "ass hole' is spelled as one word, you bloody chav wanker.
