  • whats that fender off of... a mustang?

  • @CaseyMcLaughalot probably tape covering were the side marker would go.

  • I prefer to sand putty with P120 then two good coats of primer blocked out with P400 and finished with P500.

  • Seems like this dude put the whole tube of hardner in a little amount of bondo ha.

  • Hate the smell of that shit =X

  • @DaCaSh100 really? i love the smell of bondo!

  • @Brndon076 So do alot of other people in the shop.... I always thought it smelt like gasoline. But I love the smell of gasoline. Strange.....

  • What kind of bondo is that?

  • @jun19020987 I dont think thats Bondo, thats all hardner lol.

  • @jun19020987 It's not Bondo it's form of "self leveling putty" it's like bondo but goes on much thinner and is easier to sand

  • I love reading the comments. It really depends on what you're doing to decide if you need filler. If you're in collision repair and you're paid by commission and only have a certain amount of time to get a job done then you're going to use filler. If a repair takes 2 hours to do and you're spending 4 hours trying to get the metal straight with no filler then you are losing money, but if you can do the job in 45 minutes by using filler then you can have it done and start on the next repair.

  • @The1Z

However, if you're in a classic car restoration shop, then what I said before doesn't really apply. Get it as straight as you can without the use of filler. Plus, on these newer cars which use thinner metal, how exactly are you going to file the metal when doing so will cause you to tear through the metal? You have to use filler in that scenario. Again, it depends on what it is that you're doing. Most high dollar show cars are COMPLETELY covered in filler so the body is straight.

  • Paintless dent removal all the way

  • Nah, could always lead load it, like it should really be done.

Bondo/bodyfiller in general is just a cheap easy bodge for the job.

    Always has been.

  • @murphyc1985 no you dont this a classic car its very good metal the metal gage is about a 16 or 12 why would you use bondo on metal when it is already perfect when you straighten it out with a hammer and dolly ive seen people put chunks of it on when the metal is already perfect im studying for auto body and i have always thought use metal on metal and fiberglass on fiber glass leave the bondo for the small door dings and in a big dent do it the right way if theres rust you cut out and weld new.

  • @Chevrolet490 every repair needs a small or moderate amount of plastic.

  • @jimboach no im a profesional in hammer and dolly nd thats why the finale step is metal filing it puts down all high spots and leaves a smoothfinish with no stupid fillrs on it

  • A M A T E R

If you learn how to apllied bondo you can

save lot`s of time .& material and you will

    have much less dust.

On the end your job will looks much better.

  • i can tell you have not gone to school seeing as your spelling is terrible

  • daim, this guy made a cake, with all that bondo. METAL STRAIGHTENING FOR LIFE, bondo is cheating

  • that looks like to much hardner was added

  • sand the primer with 320 dry or 400 wet dont sand body filler with 220 320 sand it with 80 then 150 before priming it

  • I think that is an everkote part #416 glaze putty to fill in any imperfections like sand scratches and bondo pits this works great price is about $25.00 for a quart with hardner final sand this with 220 320 primer then block sand witth 400 or 600

  • RRRR 1970 dodge challenger gaurd. Nice wish you could do mine its driving me crazy.

  • those kind of metal spreaders are one of the best buys ,ive ever made ;)
