Scouts are almost always coming to a medic for heals after an engagement, in which case they heal to full buff in ~2 seconds, even at critical health, and at critical health a scout tends to go into "dodge the everything" mode without even thinking, which means moving like a spazzy monkey on crack. Though it is annoying to try to track them down to heal when they're still trying to dodge.

@Elite9739 no no the exact same thing happens to me i'de hit uber and they'd run to cover and i'm pissed so i don't heal him anymore and move on to other people that actually need healing. i think valve shouls make it to where you can turn uber off when shit like that happens so you don't have to charge al the way up to 100 again.

3. Pyro

NEVER Uber Scouts, Engies, Snipers, Spies or Other Medics. Scouts, Engies and Snipers aren't Direct Combat classes and you'll blow the Spy's cover. Ubering other Medics is just dumb. They have their own uber.

@PivotCommando I wouldn't say prioritize in a strict order, a good evaluation of the situation is more important plus what type of uber you have. An uber pyro can do a lot more damage than an ubered heavy in a lot more situations that people think.

On another note the duo medic/ubersaw tactic can work wonders at final capture points.

I only use medic when the team deserves it. ususally I am the head of the team who dominates the enemy. I like to help my team most of the time they let me die evryone shouts MEDIC and even I heal them they die from a single enemy . Honestly, the things that bug me the most as a medic are:

1. Everyone always expects you to be their buddy and keeps bothering you if you aren't constantly healing them.

2. People won't even listen when you tell them you have an uber ready and are asking who wants to use it.

3. People ask you to cross a warzone to get to them when people would prioritize medics above them so it would be easier for them to come to you.

ive been playing medic since the game came out, and this is probably the best medic guide ive seen on youtube. prioritizing targets is something a lot of guides overlook, letting the burning guy in red go because he'll likely reach that dispenser before he dies from fire, in favor of healing the full-health heavy who is being shot at by 10 people to keep him alive, that sort of thing just comes with experience

When you use ubercharge just infront of the sentrys because the sentry will shoot at you while the player you have ubercharge destroyes it. Sentrys can knock you back and this way you have more chance to destroy it

Some stuff you should get: Crusaders Crossbow - A good dmg weapon and prolly the best Syringe Gun Replacement. Also its handy for healing teammates that are outta range for healing. Vita-Saw/Amputator/Ubersaw - All of em are great Melee weapons. Its just depends on YOUR playstyle. Vita-Saw is good when you begin to play Medic, since you die reguarly, but 20% of your charge are stored (Also you loose 10 health). Amputator is great for the Mediv. Medic Set and for a game with ~16 players.

@ROFLMAOSCHINSKI Ubersaw is cool when you do Uberchains with another Medic (which I wouldnt recommend, since its kinda dumb for the team). But personally, I prefer the Amputator. The set increases your selfheal and you can easily survive a Pyro attack. The Tauntheal is also cool. It comes in handy when many people need heal but theres no dispenser around. Keep in mind that, if you use the healing taunt, you don't gain ANY Ubercharge at all!
