  • Hell yeah! This guy is my fucking guitar teacher!

  • Marc Seal is so good.

  • I just met him and got an autographed cd.

  • 1:44 is my type of sound. That is freaking awesome.

  • coooooooooooooooooollllllllllllllllllllllll

    love it

i hope i can have that guitar someday

    love taylor t5

  • what in the fuck is he doing from 1:10-1:20?

watching his hands, doesn't seem possible that came out of the guitar.

  • tapping....

  • He's hammering on with his left hand and tapping with his right hand. I was at the Taylor roadshow in STL, MO. Last night at Fazios, this guy is phenominal!

  • One of the best guitarists I've ever heard, and a great guy. I remember about 9 years ago Marc used to teach on the Digevent channel, his lessons were excellent, I was just starting to play guitar and I learnt tons of great stuff from Marc. Great guy, great guitarist.

  • One of those performances tou have to love. He shows that you do not need to play lightning fast to be a good player and make good music (although it can be fun)

    SUPERB!

  • He's got a great flow between what he hears in his head to what he wants to be played. It's a really nice gift, knowing from my own experience, that he can easily make good use of his pinky and has it up to speed with his other more commonly used fingers. 5*

  • makes it loook so natural and fluid its amazing

  • WOW truly amazing especially from 1:06 - 1:22

  • This guy is cool, I met him at a small Taylor guitar show.

  • thats my uncle!!!

  • Crazy. This guy used to teach at Mission Music in Laguna Hills.

  • wow, for a single coil that baby screams, full and thick, even midrange flutey, for a bridge mounted pup! i want one......

  • i think thats actually a humbucker.. not sure though.. but im positive theres another pickup under the neck and a body sensor behind the bridge, thats why it sounds so full ;) its an AMAZING guitar

  • Wow, this guy needs to be extreamly famous. He's a true master of guitar.

  • 0:52 - 1:22 WOW! So beautiful.

  • Hey its Marc Seal! I just met this guy at the Taylor road show in Chicago. Great show guys. At the end they have what they call the "petting zoo" where you can play pretty much any guitar on the Taylor line. Including the new T3. Alot of customs too. I recomend you check it out if their in your area

  • that is one hell of a guitar how much do they run for

  • You could probably get a standard model for around $2000, but the one he's playing is a special edition with koa top and those run for $2500-3000. Expensive eh? =S

  • Word. You sir rock.

  • Hey, I was wondering, for a T5, do you use electric or acoustic strings?

  • Electric strings.

  • whats the second song called? its amazing.

  • Killer axe, but I prefer a full electric. Wow! I just noticed that the Taylor SolidBody, isnt even a solid body, it has chambers. lol.

Anyway, as soon as I get 1.7k Im getting the taylor solidbody, the necks on both the t5 and the solidbody are SO AMAZING! They are thicker at the headstock end and taper were it meets the body!!

  • Yeah, well the Classic is actually only $1200. I played it at a Taylor Guitar show and it was amazing.

  • I'm sure tht're good an all but they don't seem very popular in the mainstream. Maybe I'm wrong...

  • Yea, they aren't. Although it's a very nice guitar (not my taste though) it's time consuming to set up and requires a tone savvy to differentiate/specialize in all the tones T5 offers. For a normal layman it's just too much options.

  • Yea, its a pretty tasty guitar even tho im more an electric guitar guy, it has a great feel.

Thanks for posting this, DeadFossil I really enjoyed marc's playing.

  • @DeadFossil I own one of these exact guitars and they come set up very nice out of the box. This guitar catches the attention of everyone who sees it. I can’t play it very well but I love it. I really don’t play it plugged in much but I saw Marc at a road show and he told me how great they sound plugged in and of course he’s right. I plan to plug it in more often. What’s so great about this guitar is that it is great to just look at. lol

  • best guitar of all time i got one when they first came out. its worth the money

  • Now all I need is 2500$...

  • Anybody know the name of the second song he played?

  • You're talking about the one with right-hand tap on his chorus phrases? Yup.. that's "Marc's Beauty" from his album "Above the Clouds" Track 10.

  • fab

  • Which T5 model is he playing ?

  • The Koa model. One expensive b!tch

  • You cant beat a t5 most versatile guitar every made

  • Which T5 is he playing ?

  • Its a custom with a koa top

  • Slight correction. It's a T5-C2 Koa shaded edge ;) I know because I am fixing to buy one. Awesome demo BTW.

  • i've played on that same model...this guitar is the best guitar money can buy...incredibly versatile....

  • This is one of the best demo's of what the T5 can sound like, rock, blues, etc.

    Great post!
