Thanks for posting this. I remember taping this song off the radio as a kid and KNOWING it was somehow associated with the 'The Champ' movie with Ricky Schroeder. But when I rented the film on DVD as an adult, there is no sign of this song in the film. I thought I was losing my memory.
i bought the record of the BO of the film and this song was on the record but it was specified that though it was not in the movie they added this song on the record because it suited perfectly with the story.
