to stay down there longer than we were supposed to,it was emotionally hard for all of us but we did every thing in our power to protect property and lives, and i will never forget the amazing hospitality from complete strangers they were amazing ,they provided us with anything they could from food drinks to showers and laundry that was just trly outsanding, if this ever happens again and it will, with out hesitation myself and our striketeam would go back... CDF fire "alco" unit, strike team 7
wow amazing video, i was down there for almost 32 days, when we got there i could see it was bad....and when we were assigned i can't describe the hell and horror that i experianced, and when it came down to it where we just couldn't put out every house fire and property fire,it hit me in the gut hard seeing these people fleeing with what they could grab in under 5 minutes and their pets and especially the kids just broke my heart and choked me up alot, myself and my strike team voulunteerd....
Thanks to all the fire fighters.....you can never pay them enough after you've seen how many homes they need to protect....and sometimes, can't make it on time.
Its a fohen wind called the Santa Ana's that come from the north west every beginning of spring and beginning of fall. Dry climate's here in So-cal combined with low humidity and high heat cause these fires. A small cigarette butt can start it all.
now i see how bad it was i am sorry and i am praying for all the people who lost there homes and it gave me the chills when the reporter said it was his house that made me sad
This is such a touching video made by such a young and talented man! Thank you and I agree, it is time to continue coming together as a community and make new memories.
