People who says that Tajiks are Turks, Tajiks aren't Turks. Tajiks are Persians like Iranians, Ossetians, Pashtuns, Punjabs, and Pamiri people. Tajik is an Indo-European language belonging to sub-branch of Indo-Iranian.

@lizard201191 No Iranian means persian, ossetian, pashtun etc. For exempel Baluchis are Iranian but not pars Tajiks are persians and the majority in Iran are persians
