  • 1. Jewel Staite has been in shows with both Anakin and Luke Skywalker. (She was in Higher Ground with Hayden Christensen)

8:07 It's the robot from Lost In Space.

  • 1 person went deaf after listening to five bursts of Catalina's hypersonic blast.

  • Woo, co-ed sleeping arrangements.

  • oh the Scouse, the Scouse...

  • Catalina was my crush. =)

  • HOOKED ON SONICS! LOL! That's still relevant... hooked on phonics. XD

I love Davenport's smug look at 09:52. XD

  • I guess when I was a kid I didn't realize that the Schedule almost got them killed. After I saw this I would Schedule my entire week! OMFG could it be it has been that long already! I'm 25 and freaking out.

  • @wavepsychic 24 here and also totally notsalgia trippin'! The more I watch this show... I've seen 1.1, 1.2, and now watching 1.3 (also watched the unaired pilot), and I'm starting to remember it more along the lines of when I watched it as a kid! When I was watching the first episode, it felt completely brand new again. XD

  • Radu is such a fag. I never liked that mullet wearing tit bag crybaby

  • Huh...Luke Skywalker doing his best impression of David Lister.

  • Anyone else think the actress playing Thelma should have gotten an award for playing such a perfect droid on this show?

  • @BlackGatchaman yeah that would have been good, she's on facebook

  • The Lost in Space Robot!

  • why is Suzie in the credits but its a Catalina episode

  • @dirrtyfan01

    It's the wrong intro...

  • Harlan Band leaps before he looks,

Suzee's smarter than a million books.

    Radu's really super-strong,

    Android Thelma functions wrong,

    Bova acts like nothing's funny,

    Rosie's cheery, bright, and sunny,

Davenport and Goddard do the best they can.

    They're Space Cases!!!

  • OMFG Mark Hamil

  • Hey, that was Suzie at the begginning!

  • Mark Hamill! That just makes my day.

  • LUKE SKYMOTHERFUCKINWALKER! that's pretty badass

  • This was supposed to be the second episode because it actually introduced Catalina's sonic powers and the food wheel.

  • i wanted to be on this show when I was little....

  • @KeikoTeddy lol. me too :)

  • God bless Mark Hamill to be willing to do acting jobs like this.

  • Anyone know who acts as THELMA?

  • Comment removed

  • yeah she does... so does Radu and Rosie.... they are private though... :(

  • Comment removed

  • HOLY SHIT IS THAT LUKE SKYWALKER!?!?

  • Bill Mumy & Mark Hamill's dialouge sound like a conversation between Paul & Ringo in Hard Day's Night.

  • Thelma is ....hot.

  • lol, omg.

  • The one alien security guard reminds me of Old Greg

  • @Hawkz80 oh yeah. Old Greg from the mighty boosh. :D

  • did anyone ELSE see the robot from Lost In Space in the background around 1:28?

  • I do, now.

  • i wonder why catalina's friend was on the opening if she was not introduced yet...

  • I realize that doesn't make sense. They explain that on wikipedia. The theme song in the beginning of this clip wasn't the original opening when the episode aired. They started using this song somewhere during season 1, then they changed the lyrics of it for season 2, then changed the opening video AGAIN for the reruns of season 1 using clips from both seasons. The ending theme song at the end of episode 2 part 3 is what the original song sounded like. Hope that answers your question.

  • oooooh, i understand now , XD thank u!!

  • I always had, as well, but now that I understand how television shows are produced a bit better, I assume it was done in light of the fact that a majority of the show was filmed long before it aired (extending into the secod season, when Suzee was introduced) and due to budget constraints, they wanted to include as much character content as possible so little adjustment had to be done later.

  • Note that Davenport is not as adept as scheduling as you might think: class is from 9:30 - 11:30 and free study is from 11:00-12:00, creating a half-hour overlap.

  • Haha, They're like The Beatles. Awesome.

  • Wow, classic Monty Python right there. Except... you know, not Monty Python XD Ahahahaha.

  • The "British" bad guys in this episode remind me a little of the Red Dwarf crew, just in their humorous conversations.

  • The Wiki on Space Cases said they were constantly using references to Red Dwarf, like the "Lister effect"; so you're right!

  • That is awesome to hear! I adore Red Dwarf, and space cases is a great show. Thanks for the info. It made my day. :)

  • omg. the alien dude on the right is Mark Hamill.. Luke Skywalker on Star Wars! Whoa.

  • ha mark Hamil was the alien on the right lol

  • shed-u-all lol i love that pronunciation!

  • It's like a really bad version of Star Trek!

  • i miss space cases!!! i had a crush on suzy. i miss these times

  • OMG, me too! O_O!!

  • @weezie044 i did too lol

  • OMG! Those two aliens remind me of Monty Python thing

  • they could b invited intruders?

    lmao

  • love the beatles nod

  • lol @ jump start

  • It's fun seeing Bill Mumy!

  • Liked seeing Mark "Luke Skywalker" Hamill in this episode.

Quick question that's always bothered me about this episode, though:

Why couldn't Thelma have just told the students about the Ferna Herna while they were on their way to class?

  • She's like, ridiculously literal.

  • In the begining credits when it says "Radu's really super strong" it shows him fighting some guy. WHat epidsode is that from? Anyone know?

  • It's from the episode "Long Distance Calls."

  • It must be "Long Distance Calls."

  • rofl, hooked on sonics

  • This is my favorite episode of the series. Infite thanks to you. I sooooo owe you.

  • why do the villians have british accents?

  • It's a common stereotype for the British. Villains like the ones in this "Space Cases" episode speak in British accents because they are well-mannered, not like their enemies who talk like American.

  • it's because of the title - "a day in the life" is a beatles song, hence the villains are approximating a beatles-esque accent (poorly).

  • @ednaelectro Oh wow... thanks for mentioning that! I never realized that as a kid... in fact, I probably wouldn't have picked up on it now! XD
