I feel the new cables are better quality, and a bit stronger maybe.
With my bumper case I cut out the bottom with a stanley knife so it would fit my dock, not hard to do, and looks like its meant to be that way.
But to be honest in my opinion the bumper case is one of the worst iPhone 4 cases on the market, stopped using my after a week.
