This is simply a Tool-Assisted Speedrun. Look it up on Google if you don't know what that is. While I'm not as good without tool assisting as I was in this video, I'm actually pretty good at this game nonetheless. I've gotten a time of 371 on the actual gameboy, just like in this video.

Tool-Assistance is when an emulator has special recording features that let one slow down the game while recording, and re-record from saved points if a mistake is made. Even if the speedrun takes an hour to make on the special emulator, when played back, it looks as if it was done perfectly and super fast in only 5 minutes or so. Search for "tasvideos" and see the stuff there - it's even more impressive than this video.

The first few pixels on the plants don't actually affect Mario. And there are plenty of non-tool-assisted speedruns on speeddemosarchivem so I suggest you check there for some cool speedruns.

This game is much better than the NES version. The controls in the GBC version are perfect. This game is perfect. I wouldn't want the graphics in this game to change, because the 8-bit look fits the game's style.

Impressive, you beat my record by 32 seconds. And its quite hard to get even below 7 minutes my friend. And did you also know that, one mistake can knock off your time by 3seconds? I've always wanted to be video game tester/designer expert. Lunar Magic is a great tool to test your skills through ability and hardness the way you do it. Im not giving the link, because 1. Its illegal

I am actually pretty good at this game even while not using an emulator, but I find it hard to beat it all at once without making a mistake.

I've used lunar magic, but I'd prefer to learn programming (starting with BASIC, then moving up to C++ and Java), and make my own game. I've actually been trying to get into this lately, I just don't have the initiative.

And Lunar Magic is legal, but not the ROM file - unless you ripped the image yourself, which almost nobody does.

Yes I totaly agree with you. Basic Prgramming is easier and plus it gives a you a wide rande capabilities that Lunar Magic does not give you. Though the ROM file isnt legal which, no one can use (its not like theyll hunt you down lol) But really, Editing software is legal only if you own that software, and not letting others use it through person to person or internet.

I would like to see a complete speed run of that game, But with the Japanese version of the game. Going through the main game the first time WITH warp zones, then going through the main game the second time WITHOUT warp zones, then going through the challenges getting all of the red coins, Yoshi eggs, and reaching the target scores, And play through the lost levels WITH warp zones. The target scores in the Japanese version are slightly lower than in the North American version. Try it out.
