The choir sent chills down my spine and put a lump in my throat. No idea what the guy is saying but it is some powerful stuff, I can tell by their passion.
There is something very very special about this band...... the music, the feel, the vibe, the sweet melody & tempo... They have a deeply spiritual edge that make them one in a million!
my good bye song to my 90 harris mom living in nz waiting to pass on upstairs into the stars as a big thanks for walking me as a little fella with such unconditional love.....as a 60 living between baltimore and nz have had 4 quality visits to the highlands from 23 to 58 I will always be and will pass on as highlander and therefore thank you... ufo..... 4 ........... 2nd sight..... RUNRIG!
@KleineZofe i cant understand all of it one of the verses i did catch though is"we will raise up our voices we will raise up our voices and though i am so far from you now, we will never sever."
This tune is still amazing - unfortunately Runrig still aren't that big in Germany as they shall be ... Anyway, "Gaelic lives on" ... Thanks for sharing, cheers, Sven (Zoobremia)
Having been to Runrigs brilliant live performance at the Manchester Apollo recently and then buying Beat the Drum DVD followed by Day of Days DVD, I have only just discovered this beautiful tune. An Englishmen but I love hearing songs like this in Gaelic; it lifts the soul. I hope that they perform it live next year although I doubt it as they do not tow a Gaelic choir around with them. But just a lovely tune! And Runrig is exceptional. What other group performs only their own material?
Gaelic the language of the soul. It's the only language that my soul has heard and understands.
