Copyright issues. Someone found a song called the Winter Road on the internet and the Metag Gear communtiy was in an uproar because the song was very similar ot the MGS theme. Some Russian magazine editors showed Hideo Kojima and the song dissappeared from almost everything Metal Gear related. The only time it appeared after MGS3 as far as I know is a barely recognizable remix in MGS4's mission Complete theme.

its a good song indeed but i just don't like that they remixed it. Although i may have said it was stupid but i said stupid as in meaning that i find that remixing the love theme was stupid in my opinion.

They had to take this song out of Brawl and MGS4 because it was brought to Kojima's attention that the song sounded too much like some communist song that was around during the cold war i think. I am not too sure on the timing but i know that because of some Russian related thing he had to remove this song as the theme of the game pretty much. In MGS4 you can hear guards whistling this though at the most.

Because MGS Mian Theme is based on Russian classical composer Sviridov music composed in 1974.

This composer dies some time ago.

I'm actually thinking about that other track with that lady singing. That's not fitting for a fighting game. This track here is fitting for a fighting game. It's filled with action and a spirit of determination. And it's so full of energy. This here is a beautiful sound to my ears.
