I am doing my Grade 3 exam tomorow ! I started about 1 year and a half ago now and I skipped Grade 1 to Grade 2, but Grade 3 keeps getting harder and I hate it! And im rubbish at oral but okay at my scales and these pieces! I played this for a different music exam, and that made me get through so WOOP !

I thought that was a nice rendition! I'm 26 and doing grade 3 so, you can do exams in your 0's,10's,20's, 50's, 80's, who cares? Doesn't matter as long as you enjoy it! what's the big deal about how old you have to be?

This sounds like the way I played it for my exam last year! Nice, props. :) But this piece doesn't agree with my hands. My hands were stiff whenever I tried to play it well. But Hornpipe was good. I passed the exam with merit (125).

I am 20 and I am taking grade one this year. But a 12 year old would normally be able to do grade 3 with ease, IF they had been doing lessons when they were 4/6.

i started when i was 9-10, and i am now 13, but i am already in grade 5.

ps. i did not skip any grades :)

so not only people who started at 4/6 can be able to do grade 3 with ease, anyone can do it too! Good luck! Just keep practicing. You just have to love your music to play well ;D

great. My daughter is learning to play this piece but she does not know what to do with the sign that looks like 180 degree with dot or semi-circle with dot on the last four lines of the piece. Could anybody help.

I think the fingering is good as well. I just did my exam and got 125. Learning this song for my music exam at school so this viedo has really helped me to learn this song!

Have you tried it on an acoustic piano yet? Sounds like it could be promising on a real acoustic. Try it, because an acoustic is harder to play, as the keys are heavier.

From looking at the music for this one it's supposed to be quick (104) so length of time taken to play it was good. So, I disagree with joalancaketoys on that one.

If you're looking to improve it even more, I would look at the timing - gradually throughout you were speeding up. Also, look at the left hand in bar 4, and the right hand in bar 19.

I've been looking at a few videos of this year's grade 3 pieces and thought you were one of the best :-)
