Dr. Melamede should be a more public figure about the science of why/how cannabis is so beneficial; at the moment, unjust criticism is being stoked by the mainstream/corporate media with people making munchies jokes & various puns, thereby trivialising the immense ethical potential of cannabis... the critics are outspoken & those speaking on behalf of cannabis tend to be either non-experts like Tommy Chong, or business minded like Richard Lee & the NORML director. The science is so important!
"survival of the fittess" huh?Sounds like racist code for assuring white folks have access to the medicinal benefits of mj while blacks are continually criminalized.
Folks of Afreekan Descent suffer a life time of emotional pain associated with the traumatic impact of slavery, and oppression. -"They injected THC into the tumor of mice. If you look at the x-rays of the brains of these mice the tumor goes away in 3 days. They look at the brain tissue no problem. Marijuana, Endocannabinoids & Phytocannabinoids they actually promote what's known as Neurogenesis the creation of new brain cells even in adults"

Greed's not the problem, dishonesty and fraud are the problem. As Dr. Melamede says, different people are motivated by different things -- if there's no fraud, all is well, the problem is governments institutionalize fraud.
the "feedback-loop" of cannabis is actually very interesting, how legalization can take ground once more cannabis gets into the system.. just as he says, it provides open-mindness and other futures that in the long term will make it legal
There is a term i tend to use. (very general) Cannabis tends to diffuse neural bias, or diminish it or whatever. It is the kind of thing where you don't want to use it and then turn around and pick a fight or believe some Hoo Ha. You probably won't want to fight about stuff.
@hypnofan35 It is actually a very bad idea to have it as a controlled substance. It's not harmful, and doesn't make you crazy. It's an excellent food plant, and an excellent fiber plant. People should be building their shelters with hemp tech, or at least make their adobe bricks with it for extra organic brick strength. I understand in Afghanistan the children were being fed opium, because of local food shortage. How much better would hemp be for that. It could be "poverty tech".
