Though I agree that Sarah Brightman is a better signer than Tarja, your reasoning that she sings in a lower key doesn't make any sense. First of all this song was CREATED for Sarah by Andrew Loyd Webber in her range to for her voice so of course she's going to sing it better. Second, if a song was created in a lower or higher range than your voice can sign you have to adjust it to fit your voice otherwise it will destroy your vocal cords. Sarah does this too in other songs!

I whole heartily love Sarah, she is a goddess, but I'm afraid that she uses this version now, to use the loud rock at the end to cover that she cant sing it like she used to, it makes me sad, cuz I really do love her, and am devoted to her, but I have to be honest.

Why is there people still talking about Tarja???

She sings the beginning a key higher (because she obviously can´t reach the lower notes) and she does not "finish" the music (because she can´t obviously reach the higher notes). And more than that! I don´t think Tarja sings this song to be compared with Sarah (beacause i am sure she knows of her limitations), i think she sings it just because she likes it. There is no comparison between Tarja and Sarah.

Ok let's make this clear. Tarja Turunen is such an average singer compared to this absolutely amazing Diva. After a 30 year long career she stiil sings like an angel. She is absolutely incredible. If Tarja ever gets to have such a long and rich career I hope she sings like this when she's 50. I doubt it obviously. SARAH ROCKS.

Purists hahahaha they probably don't even know Tarja Turunen. But they sure know Anna Netrebko, Natalie Dessay and Renee Fleming among other great pure opera singers. Perfect pitch?? Tarja's technique is absolutely and incredibly sad for her age. Just compare her to Anna Netrebko or even to Kiri te Kanawa.

It's not age, it's technique and vocal hygiene that makes a difference as you get older. She's not quite what she used to be, but she's certainly doing better than the crappy singers in mainstream music today.

Parking was a NIGHTMARE.

Cars were sliding all down the hills and there were even special workers helping to push cars out of the parking spots.
