Budgies are the sweetest little birds...We have 8 birds including a Cockatoo and an African Grey and the budgies just steal the show. Our oldest, Leon, is 8 and has been a comedian from day one! He laughs, toots, says "Hi daddy", "Me name is Leon", "don't bite" and a bunch of other stuff. They definitely steal your heart.

wow he speaks very clearly - you must have worked very hard. ^^ I love it at the end when he's like, "Mickey!" then wistles and twitters then, "hello?" as if thats him answering the call.. then loud and clear as day you hear: "Mickey, MOUSE!" almost like hes scolding himself lol ~when you recorded this had he just recently learned, "what yer doin?" It's not as clear but I definitely heard it a couple times ;)

I am always talking to him. No he hadnt recently learned when I recorded it. He is 9 years old and he started talking at about 5 months old. As for when he says ''what yer doin'.....I say it to him very quick, so they copy exactly how you say it. He says MANY more things and sings a little song, but its hard tpo capture him when he's in the mood for talking....lol

Yep, budgies are able to speak in every language. Just be sure to use that language around them. Remember, they're not learning languages, they're mimicing what they hear.

Hi. You must talk to him all the time (get a male because females dont make good talkers), Say the same words to him over and over again (example - cheeky boy)... Say it very clearly.. It will take about 2 months before you hear him try to talk... Once he start learning, you can slowly teach him more words. You have to be patient

you will find it nearly impossible to teach them to talk when you have 2 together. It takes about 3 months to teach a budgie, but when there are 2 or more, they take more notice of each other than of you.
