  • why havent i heard this song before? what the fuck its been out for a year, im officially a terrible PJ fan

  • @spinblackcircles: Haha nope, never been released on an album. It was left on the cutting room floor on Avacado and Backspacer, but since they've been playing it live it will probably be on the next album.

  • this is pearl jam at their best grunge personified the intensity power emotion so raw, musical lyrical and vocal genius vs, vitalogy, no code esque ... come on pearl jam lets have a return to that era of mindblowing inspirational music and leave behind the polished style of pearl jam, backspacer, two great albums but no ten, vs, vitalogy, or no code their best 4 albums, the remaining albums have three to four gems contained in each but for me pre 97 all the way

  • I've liked their last couple albums just fine, but an album full of material like this would be the shit.

  • Sounds 10 times better with the awesome Soccer button!!!!!!! hehehe

  • Nice to have a new pearl jam song with a McCready SOLO =D

  • i like it...i will make my final decision when the finished product is released..but my first thought was it reminded me of peace frog from the doors which is a good thing..lol

  • good one and if supposed to be in avocado album i don´t know how it did´t made it!!!

  • I think it's time for a "lost dogs 2"!

  • @JerseyJeepGurl "lost cats"!

  • free boston lou

oh and the song is good too ;)

  • Any new pj is great pj!

  • this is the PJ i love....PJ circa 96-99....can't wait for the next album....or a decent 5 song EP...that would be huge too

  • thanks for posting!! amazing as always

  • thanks for posting and spreading the jam!!

  • Pearl Jam Prog-Rock is a good thing :D

  • this song f-ing rocks

  • finally a decent song from them...

  • This song sounds very progressive for PJ. It's certainly more of an instrumental jam than a typical pj song. It definitely shows their musicianship and I doubt this song is a 4/4 time signature.

  • @whygodrums10

I'm pretty sure it is 4/4 all the way through. It is a very interesting song though. I think the last songs with some odd time signatures were Parachutes and Unemployable of the self-titled album.

Oh, and I almost forgot the that funky bridge in Johnny Guitar.

  • great stuff. love the mike solo.

  • cheers! From what I'm hearing this is a S/T b-side. Anyone know for sure?

  • @FTspicoli

Jeff mentioned it as a song they were working on for the self-titled record. it was one of the earliest titles mentioned. Eddie mentioned it as a song that wasn't even finished yet, so some people think it's brand new. The way PJ seems to write songs, they've always got a ton of ideas, and many aren't fleshed out. So my guess would be they tried it for that record, didn't work, and they started back on it recently.

  • Excellent

  • Thanks!

  • Gracias!!

  • awesome! :)
