I just love the bit "must be lamb today, 'cause beef was last week"! Brings back great memories, when Sunday roast was an institution and football was just played on Saturday (and Everton won the League!:-)))
I had heard from those who state that they were "in the know" (not me) that in the late 80's - especially as Ray Thomas could not harmonize or hit the high notes, most of the falsetto high harmonies had back ups that were pre recorded.
The Moodies have no need now - they use backup singers

@downwithdinosaurs I have not seen them in about 20 years...but I saw them the first time in 1970 and 5 more times over the years and they were not lip- syncing then as a matter of fact they were one of the very best and I saw most of the big names.
thx so much for posting this song ,its a song that ,has forever stuck in my mind from being a baby, and for the last 10 years, i have tried to find it,at last the search has ended ..a good 35 years

This = the live version and vice-versa; the Moody Blues lip-sync during concerts. Otherwise a great song.
