when we were on this ride we had some heavy couple behind us, no offense, and in a hallway before the lightning, our boat sank to the bottom of the trough and scraped its way along the passage holding up all of the boats behind us. it was kinda funny but it made the ride take so long.

Nearly 30 years ago, I was on this ride with a friend who was visiting from Maryland.
Two older boys were hiding in there and jumped on the back of our boat and made believe they were going to rob us. We were scared and played along, but it turned out they weren't serious and let us go.
They jumped off before we got to the end - so I presume they stayed in there and harassed more patrons.
Used to work at Playland back in the day....nothing like I remember. There used to be a line, "Beware, I am the Evil Troll"...and that's all I can remember. Those were the days...Rye Playland! Awesome video! Thanks for posting....
Wow..... That ride was pretty cool. Such a cool theme. Loved when the guy was warning the passengers "They'll get ya, Please don't go" and then the troll "Tooo late" in the evil laugh! Kudos to you, Sally!
when i got on this i thought it was gonna be a happy ride then it took a turn into the dark
