CIA trained Tibetan also the same way, in the end they could use them, they did not done something without the profit, if not they will not done that.
So what at least they are much much better than the chinese. They trained our army to defend our own land. While the Chinese came to Tibet to kill all the living things.
The video proof Tibet is not independent, since this video is evidence of imperialist aggressive forces in Tibet and the validity of the 17 Point Agreement is win-win and peaceful and a self defense and national security issue for the PRC.
The video also proves the flag is not a symbol of Tibetan freedom, beauty, or peace but under the rules of the 13th and 14 th Dalai Lama, they accepted foreign funds and are willing to kill their own to preserve the anti-human rights self-serving tyranny.
Monks and nuns must undergo "Patriotic Re-education" classes during which they are taught to be loyal to the Communist Party, to denounce the Dalai Lama and to accept that Tibet is a part of China. They are under surveillance by Chinese secret police, who sometimes even reside in the monastery/nunnery. Monks and nuns are banned from government buildings
One of the biggest communist lies is that Tibet is an autonomous region.
His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso has a long-held position that he wants autonomy for Tibet, and not independence. This is called the Middle Way Approach. You can read about it here
It was a flag of Tibet until 1951 when flown with PRC's flag, but the use of the flag in PRC was banned after 1959 or when the Dalai Lama fled. However, the two Special Administration Regions of PRC (Hong Kong and Macau) do have their own flags, but they are still People's Republic of China and not an independent nation.
From 1911-1950, Tibet was in fact independently run by local Tibetan government, and China central government has no effective approach to control Tibet. This is a fact.
However, such independence has never been legally recongnized by any other countries until now. This is also a fact.
From the point of China government by then, Tibet was a Chinese province controlled by local warlords, similar to many other Chinese provinces during that period.
This flay was originally assigned to Tibetan troops by China Qing empire in late 1700s. It is also used as the national flay by Tibetans who seek independence. Therefore, this flag has been banned in China by China government.
you call this proof? first, i wonder why tibetans are wearing british uniforms, second i wonder if you know where that flag came from ((clue you in: not made by tibetans); say hello to your british overlords...
The Tibetan flag was made by Tibetans long before this. It's well-researched, and the propaganda that it was a Japanese invention of the early 20th century has been debunked.
The video shows Tibetan soldiers wearing British-style uniforms because they were being trained (poorly) by one colonizer who wished to use them against another. Both British and Chinese trash %($@ed things up in Tibet. But this is all aside from the point, that the flag and the country belong to Tibetans alone.
What you call "Snow Lion" is Rui Shi (瑞獅) Chinese. Placing a pair of Rui Shi at the gates of palaces dates back to the Han Dynasty (200 BC). So even this mythical creature supposedly of Tibetan origins on the flag you are defending is a Chinese creation...
Go visit the Potala Palace (built around 1600), you'll see a pair of Rui Shi there.
Yes, millions died in Tibet, but so did everywhere else in China. Boohoo. The entire country suffered under the "Great Leap Forward". It was declared a national disaster where everyone suffered. The Chinese got over it and moved on to do great things. Shame that the Tibetans keep their grudges for so long that they can't move past differences so that they can integrate and engage with the Chinese for their own benefit.
nabeshinIII, next time try to stay on topic. Tibet is not part of "the whole country" and that is exactly where the problem lies. Why should Tibetans want to integrate with Chinese, the most backwards, greedy, selfish, shameful society to ever claim to be a modern world power? How does being swamped with foreigners who speak an unpleasant language and take all the good jobs benefit Tibetans? The abuse of Tibet by China did not end 30 years ago, it was just getting started then... GTFO!
Tibetans had their first Famine EVER after Mao came and demanded that all the food the farmers had be given to his soldiers. Promised to pay it back but never did. Many died during this famine. and you call this a leap forward? China claims they are educating Tibetans yet Tibetans cannot afford school for their children because they are poverty stricken. And don't forget the mass population transfer to make Tibetans even more of a minority in their own country. Leap forward indeed!!!!
Hi ass hole millions died in Tibet because of Genocide. They are killed by communist dog eaters. While In Great Leap Forward the entire country suffered because of greed. You all got forward not by your compassionate ways but by killing not only animals but innocent human beings on your way forward. Shame on you.
The video's very clear, and the flag was designed by the 13 Dalai Lama as a compilation from several regional flags used by the Tibetan people or guards. The Tibetan government wanted to modernize and received British civil servants and military officers in 1936. British because the Tibetans are closer [ties] to India's people. Tibet never claimed any allegiance to China during the simla in 1913. China's using old feudal hegemonic practices, and Tibet doesn't have to submit.

You're looking at more than half a century difference in time. Surely it's possible for one country to recognize another at one point in history but not at another. England did not recognize the States in 1780... The US is contradictory on Tibet now, with the Congress resolving that Tibet is an illegally-occupied nation while the executive/State Dept. treats it as part of China, contrary to law.
now this is another flat out lie: "Congress resolving that Tibet is an illegally-occupied nation" Please provide reference text!
You understand why western countries keep the issue of Tibetan independence alive don't you? It's not because they are benevolent people. Tibet has and always will be a running-sores project for the west; a way to keep the Chinese annoyed, distracted. West will never fully commit support for Tibetan independence. It's not to their advantage...
HOw Much evidence the WORLD need to prove Tibet as a Free Country. Communism doesn't like religion (and yes; also having land or being wealthy)so they were persecuted; in Tibet, Mongolia, Cambodia and so on.
The British recognized the flag for sure. Around that time, independent Tibet had entered into treaties with Mongolia, China, Britain, and (I believe, can't find a reference at the moment though) Nepal. So I would assume that those nations at least also recognized the flag. Hope this answers your question.
As for your second post, Tibet is NOT a personal conflict between the Dalai Lama and China. The issue is a national conflict between the Tibetan people and the Chinese government, based on China's illegal invasion, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and deprivation of human rights includign the right to political freedom. Defensive Chinese are always trying to make it it into a "Dalai Lama issue", and it's absolutely not.
