How many of these Sambo tournaments has Fedor won? I think its somewhere in the ballpark of 12 and most of those were open weight. So I'm sure he's beaten "big grapplers" before and one loss doesn't matter. Brock and Couture have lost wrestling matches, it doesn't prove or show anything about MMA ability.

dude, freakin heath herring is who lesnar fought to get a title shot, and fedor did a heck of a lot more damage to him (doctor stoppage in the first round). fedors fights almost never go to the second round and he is 4 time world sambo and 6 time national sambo champ. fedor destroyed heath, watch the fight (and heaths bigger than him) and it's not even a fair fight. it took the champ 3 rounds to finish heath.

The Sambo match that Fedor lost was in the finals at the World Championships in Prague, Czech Republic and not "somewhere in Russia" as you said. If you can't even get your basic facts straight then how is it that you expect anyone to take you or your shitty site seriously. you're right, but i'm just thinking about the times he's fought at 220 with luv handles (coleman 2 in vegas). it just makes me wonder the destruction he would be capable of at light heavy. fedor lost for the 1st time since 2000, and as a response has cancelled his promo tour to focus even more than he usually does on sambo. who does that bode well for? certainly not arlovski. fedor lost (not by ko or submission) and is now more focused and dedicated than before, which is pretty impressive for a guy like fedor. a reminder that hes beatable, and the boost of motivation that he got, usually comes with a hefty fee (a loss on your mma record). but fedor got it for free. silver lining.

I think everyone is entitled to their opinion but listening to your reasoning about Fedor is ridiculous. I think that unless you look at the contracts that he's getting you should STFU. How can he fight good competition when the UFC bought Pride and sent him on his way. The want to own him, not let him fight. Also the guy that beat fedor in Sambo lost to him I think a few years before and most likely built a specific strategy for fedor, not to take anything away from him, or the win it was the first loss f'r took in combat sports since 2000, damn. Obv. he's human/can be beat.

Randy has some pretty bad holes in his game too. He got caught by Lesnar for crying out loud. Liddell twice. I guess we'll never know until he actually fights Barnett. That's one of the few matchups left for him that makes sense. If not, maybe Barnett can come over and clean up the UFC heavyweight division.
