If a person filed a petition for their children in 96, and now that person has become a Citizen- the category in which the people would be in would change correct? When will the people from the year 96 be illegible to become permanent residents? If I was awarded residency when I was a child, but didn't take advantage of it- can I still claim that which was already granted to me? A very rude attorney said "no", but I have read that it is possible on some occasions.
