No. It's not 3D. this was an intro or something.
Note that this video was released in 2006.
That's like a year and a half before he announced it was being ported to C++

Pretty impressive, It actually ports the art style to 3D.

I like the look of this please post a link to this when it comes out - I liked cave story and it is obvious from the gameplay clips that you are using the same engine.
