I was going to come on here and slate you for during a registry clean tutorial as registry cleaning should not be taught by a youtube video. It comes from learning the registry and what it's for.

All novices should stay right away from reg cleaning. To many noobz just click scan/fix and moan when there pc dont boot up. To many agresive cleaners out there. CCleaner is gentle as reg cleaning can get

no it will not delete your programs unless you use the add/remove application feature and tell it what programs you want deleted. as far as your desktop goes you will have to delete that stuff off of there

That could be true. but all modern virus infect more than one place. sys 32 is one of the areas you also have to look in your registry. the best way to disinfect a virus is with a good anivirus, or combo with other apps such as sypbot or combo fix.

Well recently today my Spybot S&D program detected and removed a trojan called 'KillSec' and I was just a little curious if something may be left. I'm not sure if Spybot got rid of everything, it might have but I don't think it can do any damage if it is still a bit left. Spybot removed the main part anyway. lol :S

Yes to be honest if something was left ccleaner would not pick up on it for a while. and if it did it wouldnt be because its a virus( because ccleaner dont know a virus from a legit program), but because its an entry in the registry thats not being used.

I've been using Ccleaner for couple years now I usually tick all the options well no real reason why I do this I just did that when I 1st started using it and fine no problems but the thing I've never ticked and wanted to know what would it do is the "Wipe free space" I don't want it deleting my whole drive =p

Basically to make things simple, when you delete a file on your system its not completely deleted until another file is made over it. this option will make sure your deleted file is really deleted. it will not deleted all of your files

Its hard to say just hearing you situation, but from what you say I would restart windows and try again, if that dont work take out you Ethernet cabe( its probably an application thats using the internet(firefox) behind the scenes that you dont know about. and ofcorse the obvious make sure no FF windows are open
